Blackpool's 'famous' Illuminations (The Lights) are switched on at the end of August/early September every year. I think Richard got mixed up, as celebrities are often asked to switch on Christmas Lights in many other towns (perhaps he'd just been asked by some town, and it was a Freudian slip!), but I'm surprised that the error slipped through to transmission.

And I'm only teasing really! Seeing it tonight just reminded me, is all!
