Thanks for the link to this. It was a good read. The Ring is unique. I'll probably never be brave enough to drive on it, but I enjoyed watching Jeremy and Sabine drive on it. However, I agree with James. If you want a true test of a car, it should be tested on any old road with all the usual calamities that a driver will face, since that's what you'll be driving on anyway once you've bought your car.

There is something I plan to do when I get myself on the road. It's called the Scumball, and it involves driving old snotters from Silverstone to the Nordschleife. I love the idea of puttering around the 'Ring in a hideous, clapped-out, ten year old diesel Skoda Octavia former minicab.
No wonder I never seem to get around to taking my test. I think fate is trying to save me from myself!
