COMING UP: FRIDAY'S SHOW 14:30 Simon is joined by Jeremy Clarkson to talk about, amongst other subjects, the 2007 annual Top Gear DVD, his book Don’t Stop Me Now, and his experiences tracing his family tree. He's on at half past two, only for a half hour though Or maybe not, he's still there!! ;D

Jeremy Clarkson - you know full well I was out all day at James's book signing and unable to listen to this. I am, to be quite honest, disappointed. (Hope someone has got a recording somewhere........ )

He did look rather fine and they both liked Ford Capris. I had four of the the things back in the 80's - a 1600GT, 1600GL, 2000 Ghia and, la creme de la creme, a JPS 3000S. They were rubbish to drive (apart for the 3000S which went like s**t off a shovel) as long as you didn't go round corners ) but there was something about the look of them. When we sold the 3000S, we almost bought a Smokey and the Bandit black Trans-Am (with the gold eagle on the bonnet - or hood for banned ). However, by then, I had started my canine collection and as it wasn't a hatchback, we bought something more sensible

I must go on the Capri Owners site and see if anyone recognises the reg - SKH 649R - it's stayed with me since 1983 If my scanner was working I could post a piccie
