I hate it when things like that happen. I moaned about it so much that for my birthday this year, albeit they gave it to me early, they bought me a DVD recorder. Best pressie ever! Apart from my PC.

You can get DVD Recorders with built in Freeview and I think some of the more 'posh' ones have a pause/ff live TV feature in them. Maybe that will be better for you than a whole Sky system, you wouldn't have to pay the monthly subscription.

My freeview box lets me freeze live tv and i can recored 2 channels but if i recored 2 channels i can only watch one of thoses 2 channels but if i recored 1 channel i can watch what ever i want ;D All i need now is a signal

Aww, I feel your pain, my digi signal is constantly changing. I am getting BBC 1 and BBC 2 through digital signal now, the reception and signal is better now than it was a couple of weeks ago. I have no BBC 4 anymore and half the channels I used to have aren't there anymore. I re-scanned my box yesterday and found that I got ITV3 (yay! the only decent ITV channel around, it has all the old shows on it, most of which are BBC ones) and the signal for that channel is pretty poor.

Sorry if I've repeated what others have said, but I thought James was a mite uncomfy with JR. When Vivien W came on and was so passionate about climate change and obviously got JR and the audience onside (she was talking straight from the heart which was cool I have to say) I thought 'uh-oh tough one was James to follow'. Poor chap - he did well considering. He was himself - after all he is a boffin and frankly, that's what I find so sexy about him. I loved the 4 P's and a piano teashirts - he does appeal to all doesn't he!?

Just a heads up to the stateside people, BBC-A lists tonight's episode of Jonathan Ross as the one with James. It's on at 9PM ET after a TG rerun

I saw it on YouTube. When Ross starts joking about Clarkson and Hammond being in love, James had this "What the hell?!" look on his face for maybe a tenth of a second. It was really funny.
