Sorry for the delay
THe first thing is Richard has morphed into David Essex!
THe Ford Focus RS (ST, TU, UV)and the Renault light weight comparison were interesting. I'm not sure how they could compare the two as one is a light weight and the other was a hot hatch with the bells and whistles. It was brilliant. Although the faraway camera stuff was a bit weird and to be honest, a bit pointless.
I do think Jeremy and Richard were having too much fun and it shouldn't be allowed IT was bit like the Audi R8 v the Porsche 911.
THe news was fine - it was the news and I always like it. The new Zonda and carbotanium
The Porsche Panamera v the Royal Mail was in theory a very interesting challenge. BUt I suppose there is only so much you can do with on camera board footage from the actual car.
As a consumer road test it was a good idea as it tested to the limits of being comfortable and the power, grip and the noise. It would have been interesting to compare the BMW M5, Maserati Quattroporte and the Porsche Panamera at some point.
It did feel a bit funny but it was ok.
SIARPC - Usain Bolt - it was ok but I had to miss part of it.
Jeremy being attacked by the Army in Dorset in a confiscated Mitsubishi - what revenge/punishment towards the drug dealer. It's been ages since Jeremy was attacked by the army and it was good to see.
Overall it was an OK programme. I don't know how my perspective was affect by not feeling very good. I think it felt a bit disjointed and it's the mid series lull.
*breath*
I am concerned that it almost feels like the penultimate series. It may, or may not be the case. But if the team felt so inclined then a break would be as good as a change. If anything they should go out on 'Top'. It would be sad to see it end but I'd hate it to have the same fate as old TG.
I think they would benefit from doing the odd special - just think of the DVD sales and then they could also release the entire series run on DVD too.
I may change any of this once I have rewatched the programme.
EDIT due to some incoherent babble.
