Looks like SBS is finally going to have Oz and James's Wine Adventure on! I can't find any details as to when it will be on but I have seen them on an ad showing shows to come. YIPEE!

Only the first season. The American one I don't think has even been broadcast here on Free-To-Air tv, and DtB has definitely not appeared yet.
However if any fellow country(wo)men have Foxtel, keep an eye out on the Lifestyle channel, I believe it's also being broadcast on there. I randomly found an ep of I think the 2nd season the other day....

None have been on free to air TV here. And the DVDs aren't available where I live. Drink to Britain has been showing on Lifestyle on paytv lately. SBS is having James overload. Sitting watching the cricket we see ads for the 20th Century and then Oz and James. Haven't seen any Top Gear ads while watching the cricket yet though. TOH is getting quite jaded!

OMG best news ever for the aussies! I've never got around to downloading the first series but have seen bits of it on foxtel whenever I'm at my Aunt's place.

Yes, they have been promoting it quite heavily. Might end up on SBS 2 or 1 or whatever they are calling it now. I get confused. Looking forward to it.

Oz and James Drink to Britain on SBS tonight Thurs 24th June - 8pm. I hope it's the first episode and I haven't just found out about it halfway through the series!! Looking forward to watching it. In the TV guide, James is described as incorrigible scruffbag.....yep, that's our James.

It still feels odd watching James on telly without Jeremy and Richard though. I keep expecting them to jump in out of nowhere. I enjoyed the show last night. James is a fine specimen of man!!!

WHEN IS THE DVD COMMING OUT!!!! On the upcoming SBS releases sheet at JB-HIFI they have 'James May box - 11 Aug' I'm guessing that is the Oz and James collection? I don't see it on the SBS website though.

Thanks for that vertebraille .I'm on JB-HIFI's site (is it just me or can't i stop looking at the cover James looks EXTREMELY HOT!), the dvd's said to include: The James May collection contains, 20th Century, Big Idea's and Toy Stories. It really annoys me when that happens like you buy the dvds of whatever then like say a few months later there's like a box set with those dvds included&I'm like so mad cause i should of waited for that.

Oh, damn... I was at JB Hi-Fi today (well, I walked past it on my way to Coles, LOL); I should have gone in and bought the box set.
I suspect I wouldn't be able to keep it to myself in this house, though - mum likes James May, and dad's a fan of the shows, so hmmm.

Fellow Aussies, I have just discovered Amazon UK is generally much cheaper! I wanted to buy Top Gear Adventures and you can buy it on the UK website for LOADS cheaper than here even with the postage. Plus the Vietnam special has special features / commentary (not James unfortunately) which was only released in the UK. With the exchange rate being so heavily in our favour, may as well take advantage!
Jacksgirl, James and Oz Drink to Britain is 7.85 Pounds + 3.85 postage. They would charge you in AUD - $21.56. Ain't gonna get it here for that price!!!
Just make sure you have a multi-region DVD player - I think they pretty much all are these days.

(In places like the USA, not so much, which I found annoying when I lived there...) Thanks for the tip re: Amazon UK, too. Not really surprised their prices are so cheap, to be honest (I found Amazon US to be similar, albeit for stuff that probably wouldn't interest many people here.)

I have just bought a new telly with an inbuilt DVD. I am waiting to set it up and test it out with a UK dvd I have before buying the Top Gear set. Ooooh, I hope it works.

Just went and had a look, jacksgirl, and it's not just you - James is RATHER NICE!!! ;D on that cover... Still, on-topic for this thread, no Wine Adventure. I'd go to the SBS site to check there but I'd be up all night, so maybe tomorrow. (SBS buy the free-to-air broadcast rights here in Australia, and I think we have to wait for them to be finished with the first broadcast before they put it on DVD. Which puts us a long way behind the Brits but that's okay, I'm still catching up with the awesomeness which is James... okay at present I'm likely to OD on it... if anyone needs me I'll be in the James May Hospital, lurking if not posting LOL.

I agree Wen, I too have bought TG/James stuff via Amazon UK over the years...even with the international postage, the prices can be so competitive its a lot cheaper than here . I personally have also found their delivery time excellent - I once got a TG goodie parcel three days after I'd ordered it Pretty good for UK to OZ!

Good to know the UK postal system still ROCKS... (I recall sending off for a catalogue from London in pre-internet days, and getting it in Melbourne, by return post, in a week. DAMN I was impressed... and that was 17 or 18 years ago, now... ugh, showing my age... *blush*)

Don't really want to start a new thread for this, and it doesn't quite fit (nothing to do with Australia) but I've just read a recent interview with Hugh Dennis which contained the comment "Soon he'll be off with wine writer Oz Clarke for another TV travelogue." So sadly, as I think we'd all guessed, it looks as if "Oz and James" is definitely no more. (Actually, I think this is important enough to start a new thread)
