I don't know why this should be an issue if it was never going to be broadcast

He does that He does like to describe Boredom Clown in that particular way. It may not be big or clever, but it is funny when he goes off on one of his 'worst word in the world' rants ;D

Yes but he did it whilst on an offical event and although it didn't get broadcast it has still got into the media. Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of Jezza and love his rants too but he still needs to know when to draw the line between what's acceptable and what isn't. For example, we all accept the rules of this forum and keep within bounds of acceptability and agree that we won't insult any of the TG team. Isn't that the same for Jezza? Sorry ladies that I've gone all serious!

It's no different from any satirist launching into a routine. It's not exactly a one-off; Jezza's quite fond of that particular word, not at all fond of Gordon Brown and he quite often brings the two things together (in fact, at the filming for episode 2, he did say he's incapable of saying that name without appending that other word to it). It's also no different from what any number of people say in company of friends. Jeremy swears a lot. People know this. When I was there a few weeks ago, Jeremy made similar comments, but he did also point out that if anyone was going to be offended by the use of the c-word, they were probably in the wrong place, and they had the opportunity to leave if they wanted to. Funnily enough, no one did.
For that matter, Jeremy has not been censured for the comments anyway - it's a complete non-story. If he now runs into problems, it will be because of the reporting, not what he said, and that is another can of worms about the role of the media that I am not going to open right now.
