Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond crashed his treasured £110,000 supercar today – but this time walked away unscathed.

The BBC star was involved in the four-car pile-up after allegedly hitting the back of a Nissan as he approached a roundabout.

Hammond, nicknamed ‘Hamster’, was shaken but walked away from his Morgan AeroMax without any injuries from the crash near the village of Over, in Gloucestershire, at lunchtime.

Some of the comments are a bit out of hand to say the least. Typical Mail readers. I think we all know someone who has come a cropper at a roundabout. It's got nothing to do with your spatial awareness, but usually to do with bad luck or some moron not indicating properly.

Someone at the front of the queue probably slammed their brakes on and everyone concertina'd. Not exactly an unusual thing, and if a car is stopped by another car rather than its footbrake, the brakelights don't alert the car behind to stop... it's nothing to do with damaged spatial awareness and everything to do with nose-to-tail traffic in a lunchtime rush.

I some how think if he was not fit to drive there is no way the BBC insurance's people would let him near a car.
Never mind the fact he him self and his wife would stop him from driving his kids about.
Can't believe they have added a picture from the top gear crash.

To relate Richards's two accidents together in the way they did was, in my opinion, very poor taste. I know we are all supposed to be watching the road 100% of the time but come on Daily Mail, we don't.
