Was feeling fanciful tonight and came up with this......
Ode to the BFS
You match me in paleness, the blue of my eyes, You hold me, enfold me, caressing my thighs, By you I am comforted, safe and secure, You save me from demons, no fear anymore. My constant companion wherever I roam Be it over the ocean or nearer to home.
You have your own place in the hearts of the few who acknowledge the significance that I give you. I've loved you so long that you're part of me now, I'll never discard you, I'll honour this vow. My magical talisman, fame-bringer, friend, Your story's a legend that never will end.

Sadly the only poems I think up are rude .....very clever I say, and speaking of which got the said book.......now that intro, sorry I was having a snigger in Waterstones.....still don't believe it's the only version looking closely I don't see any frayed cuffs ;D long may the blue flowery shirt live ;D

Let's hope James turns up wearing said BFS if he does any book signings to promote Car Fever.

Perhaps this thread should just be called 'The Blue Flowery Shirt is Immortal'.

Perhaps this thread should just be called 'The Blue Flowery Shirt is Immortal'. Ah but is it or has it reproduced ;D I'm not even sure I want to think about that! Though then it could be 'The Blue Flowery Shirt is immoral'!

I've got it!!!! James, being in possession of a forward-thinking and truly scientific mind, has found the secret of shirt cloning! The BFS will live forever. Yeh!

Cloning, now there's a thought ................ perhaps he could clone himself, then there would be enough James's for all of us.

That's an excellent idea. Maybe we could even have them made to order.
"I'd like a 35-year-old James, non-smoking model please."
