This was a really sad programme. A man who seemed a little bitter perhaps. Richard did a very good job though, with a difficult subject.

evel is a legend, but i dont think i could have put up with the coldness he seemed to show towards richards at times.
richard did a wonderful job though with the whole show. In fact after watching that... i have a bit of a crush on him now, when i was clearly a James girl.
Very good show! But only because of richard!

Great programme but I thought Evel came across badly (shouldn't speak ill of the dead ) However, I thought Rich did a brill job and I'm not one of his big fans

Agree with all the comments on here. Richard is to be commended for the way he handled that. Think it's also a case of as you get older you have to realise that those you think of as your heroes are just human and mortal after all.

I thought it was very sensitively handled, well done Richard. And they played Blockbuster for the bit about him coming to London

I thought it was very sensitively handled, well done Richard. And they played Blockbuster for the bit about him coming to London The dreaded Sweet Saw them live in the early 70s. All I will say is that at 50p a ticket, they were taking the mick

I've not seen this special that Richard made. Just that little clip has made me want to. Thanks for posting that, AM. ;D
