I think the female presenter business is becoming more of a big deal than it needs to be. His argument is that they can't bring one in at this point without changing the show, and the changes would probably make the show worse overall. It wouldn't be as funny, and one of the other presenters would have to leave to make space. And I'm inclined to agree. But none of that means there'll never be a female presenter on Top Gear; it just means they'll have to bring her in when they rotate the cast -- they can't do it now since the dynamic is set. Plus people like the show as it is

I don't know why the female presenter stuff is still coming up. Joe public does not seem to care about it so why do the press have to keep going on about it. The trouble is now if they do reboot TG in 10 years time and they decided that a certain women is the best person for the job people will just say the BBC is trying to be all pc no matter how good she is for the job.
