I wonder if she'll start making guest appearances on TG, now...?

Well, I suppose that explains why Tiff and Vicki were free to work on Jeremy's DVD this year, and Tiff also had the time to be involved in two episodes of James's Toy Stories. I'm quite sad about this though, I always liked Fifth Gear, watched it regularly and found it entertaining, if not in the same league as Top Gear. I'm really glad Jonny Smith has managed to branch out a bit recently (if you're in the UK, watch Quest (on Freeview) at 9pm on Thursdays... Industrial Junkie is great fun). Tim Shaw's first and foremost a radio presenter and he's busy with that, Jason Plato's a successful BTCC driver (second in this year's championship, IIRC, in a Chevrolet Lacetti no less), Tom Ford writes for Top Gear magazine among other titles but it does leave me wondering what Tiff and Vicki will do next as they went from Top Gear to Fifth Gear with the rest of the old school TG crowd (including Jon Bentley and Count Quentula). Vicki's branched out into general presenting before but it hasn't worked too well. Hopefully they'll both find openings where they can continue to let their driving do the talking. Anyway, thanks for 7 years of car-based entertainment and gentle rivalry with 'new' Top Gear Now... what do you suppose Jeremy will have to say about it when TG comes back next month?

REALLY miffed. Yes, Fifth Gear will be back later in the spring, but oh noes! Tom Ford won't be returning He tweeted on 21st Feb, before I realised he was on Twitter... "revalation my friend? I'm not on Fifth Gear anymore - couldn't handle the thought of the studio biz with that tosspot..." On 23rd Feb he added, "hello there from foreign parts! You won't be seeing me and Jonny on Fifth Gear anymore (I won't be on it), but keep looking..." I really like Tom. He makes me laugh and has always struck a good balance between humour and straight reviewing. Sounds like he didn't like the studio stuff with Tim Shaw any more than I did. Thank goodness he's still working for Top Gear...

Now I'd have to say I never watched Fifth Gear partly due to the annoying female on there, my kids have told me they are sad at the line up change......dunno if that will make any difference

The annoying female (and Tiffs equally annoying voice) are why I never watched it either
