so thats where its been hiding, it was always repeated on a thurs and toy stories was always repeated on a fri, my intution was telling me it was on but i could never find it. a sneaky saturday! oh well! I'm so annoyed at myself!! I had it in my head it was on at 6:30pm, not 6pm, so I faffed around waiting for 6:30, switched the TV on at about 20-past and saw I'd missed most of it. Last time this ep was on I missed the start of it, so the recording I have is incomplete. Still is... I just can't believe how much of a airhead I can be sometimes!

Sunday 5th February 10.55 on BBC HD - Ep 1 (repeat)
Monday 6th February 11pm on BBC HD - Ep 2 The Universe
Tuesday 7th February 11.30pm on BBC HD - Ep 3 Weather
Thursday 9th February 10pm on BBC2 - Ep 2 The Universe (repeat)
There appears to be no repeat of episode 3.

James is back on SBS next week! First series of Man Lab is being shown on Monday nights, 8:30pm. So does this mean SBS actually bought the rights from Channel 9? Whatever the case, it's a good move and I'm happy about it.

There were some recent sightings of James with Oz by the Thames, and this is what it was all about - not Man Lab or a new Oz and James series, but connected to the University Boat Race. This webpage carries a short introductory video, which is lovely and shows the vibe between them very clearly. Then on Saturday (7th April) on BBCOne between 1pm and 3.15 there's Part 2, at some point during the actual Boat Race broadcast. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rowing/17624733

That was wonderful. It was so lovely to see James and Oz back together. I look forward to the '... to be continued' bit As an aside,I'm glad James has decided to support cambridge as that is my son's university.

I'm loving that clip, but am also confused.
Is this a trailer for an actual programme or a promotion thingy they did for the coverage of the Boat Race?

I'm guessing that it's a promo for the Boat Race coverage this Saturday (tomorrow, as I type!) though I've not seen it anywhere other than on the website that I've linked to above. If it's been on the TV I've not seen it, though it's rather too long for a trailer.
The BBC always make a big fuss about showing the Boat Race every year. Perhaps they're going to show this first segment at the start of their coverage, and the second, unseen one later on in the programme? I know what you mean about being confused; I can't imagine the BBC going to the trouble of making this mini-version of what was a hugely successful TV series, then just leaving it stuck away on an obscure website!

Joining you in the confused corner. However, it might be nothing more than producers knowing other producers who know presenters and thinking "hey, you know what'd be good..?"
Good to see the two old boozehounds back on the road, though (or boat, in this case)

They could be doing a tour around London visiting verious hestoric locations with it being the Jubilee year and the waste of money Olympics.Either way it's a start for mine and Jacs pub crawl.

Who's supplying the life jackets, because i am bound to fall in the bl**dy Thames if we are that close to it Good on James for supporting Cambridge, the boat race is a fabulous British tradition and i love it, watch it every year! We're split in our family between the two but thats not important. I used have friends that lived on the Chiswick/Hammersmith border and i would go and watch it with them... followed by some monumental pub crawls... The Dove being one of many!!!! Sadly or should i say thankfully (as far as my liver is concerned ) they have moved to Devon

Thanks for the link dit! I don't know how you manage to find so many wonderful gems, but I'm glad that you do and that you are kind enough to share them all with us!
I think that was quite a fun little snippit. I think James is looking terrific. I am absolutely loving his hair at the moment! I also thought it was quite funny that they kept the life jackets one the entire time as if it was completely normal to be in the pub and wearing a life jacket.

Well, they were right next to the Thames, and after all that booze it wouldn't take much of a wander to have one of them face down in the water!

I'm loving James' description of the wine "Very acidic, like an armpit" ha ha What a guy. The Dove will probably be one of James' locals as it's about a 5 min walk from his pad. Looks a good old pub though. I really need to get my butt down to London and sample these marvellous old boozers. Right.... We need well deserved pictures

Must be my lucky day. I switched on the telly and the second part came on straight away. :-) Great to see them mocking about. Claire Balding mentioned James joining her for another event next week, for the Man Lab series. Didn't catch what it was though.

Clare Balding has just said - after the second segment of Oz and James, which was shorter than the first, possibly because it was quite clear the pair of them were well clattered by that point on their journey - that James will be with her at Aintree next week for the Grand National "as part of his Man Lab". Which is great info, and clearly connected to James' recent visit to David Pipe's stables.

Was just watching the race on BBC America, and they're having to start it over because some clown decided to jump in the river between the boats.

I'm saying nothing except - James was pretty wellied at the end of the second of those Oz and James segments and, to quote myself from above Well, they were right next to the Thames, and after all that booze it wouldn't take much of a wander to have one of them face down in the water! "Oz and James Swim To Safety".Whoever it was in the water, they've right royally stuffed up the race!
