Do they show the Boat Race on iPlayer? If it does, I'm sure it will end up either here or on Final Gear. :-)

I was going but everything has had to be cancelled. My auntie Karen who I was going with can't go because her mother and law passed away in her sleep very recently. With it being the bank holiday and nothing getting sorted we'll be probably be going to a funeral instead.

I know its not really done but I would adrore getting drunk with James and Oz!!I'd just love to hear the stupidness that often emerges fron beer drinking and the way his face goes all flushed after a few. I wonder if he gets the kebab munchies at closing time?

That has me an image of a kind of "Laurel and Hardy" situation in bed together James and Oz all snuggled up Well they do look rather cosy here (that embarrassingly is like my tent when I camp with wine bottles everywhere!)

Picked up from whitevanwoman on Final Gear. If true, it's a shame. Doesn't stop them doing a non-drink series, though.
According to the Fuller's Brewery site James is still the front man for their London Pride Beer advertising campaign. While he is, there will be no chance of him doing another pub crawl series with Oz due to BBC contract restrictions which states that BBC employees cannot advertise goods or services directly related to the programmes they present.

I think we girls at the JMB need to start a protest! Other actors are on adverts... PAH! The BBC can whistle. We Want James! Hugh Dennis was rubbish! As much as I used to like Punt and Dennis in the early days, I now find him rather dull. WE WANT MAY! WE WANT MAY! ....AND WE WANT HIM NOW!!!!

Would he be exempt from this restriction if he and Oz were promoting wine instead of beer? I guess it all comes under the umbrella of alcoholic beverages. Sad I love Oz and James together - it's one of those partnerships you think would never work, but it just does.

OK...If that's the case then why did they let James do the 'Boat Race' bit with Oz, wouldn't that also have been a 'Conflict Of Interest' according to the BBC?

I'm guessing it would be something to do with what the primary reason for the broadcast was, which in that case was to promote the Boat Race, not the boozing. Having said that, I did say that I didn't know for sure that the info was true, I was just passing it on as I thought it was interesting, and pertinent to this discussion.
They would certainly be able to undertake some sort of road trip (though I imagine they wouldn't get very far without alcohol being involved!). The possibilities are endless for that, even if it's clearly just an excuse for a series, for example 'Oz and James Visit Britains's Top Ten Tourist Sites' or 'Oz and James Look At Places Less Than Ten Miles Away From Britain's Motorway System'.
Then of course there are other possibilities, such as 'Oz and James Travel Britain's Canal System In A Narrowboat', 'Oz and James Cycle From Land's End To John O'Groats' or 'Oz and James Visit Britain's Steam Train Network' (a pretty obvious one, that!)
If they really want to be imaginative they could perhaps go for 'Oz and James Build And Sail A Viking Longboat' or 'Oz and James Learn How To Perform In The Circus', but that would just be silly.
