Only three words to say to that driver: you utter berk!!! Some people really aren't fit to be handling powerful performance cars like that. They are beautifully engineered machines, not toys, and a bit of respect would go a long way!

It was salt water, too. It might have survived a dip in freshwater but salt water is just going to rust everything.

I'm really sorry, and I know I shouldn't, but I laughed out loud when I read this bit.
"The Veyron’s powerful engine gurgled like an outboard motor for about 15 minutes before it died".
As in, "erm, it's not supposed to do that, is it?"

I wept upon reading the headline. After reading the entire article I nearly went into shock from thinking about the poor Veyron.
