Yay!! If Certified Celebs have acknowledged surely it's got to be real? I don't know how these things work to be honest. But it seems like it's going to be more of a news tweet done by other people rather than the man himself.

It SAYS "Official and Verified Account" in big letters in the description of the account but it isn't, in fact, verified. Doesn't sound right to me.

I hate to say, but I do enjoy following the fakes anyway. Confounding but interesting.

Yeah, I don't believe anything a twitter account says until it has the little blue "verified" icon near its name. There's been many convincing fakes out there!

Does it mean Twitter has closed the account down?

I've just read what purports to be James's twitter page (online - I'm still a Luddite!) and my only response as to whether or not it's authentic is that I suspect that James is sufficiently well enough educated to know how to punctuate his own name.......

The closest thing James has to an "official" Twitter is @mrjamesmay, for future reference. It's run by a publisher of his and not a personal account, as far as is known. It isn't officially "verified" by Twitter, but its tweets are of an informational capacity. As for the other two, they're not known to be on Twitter.
