excellent - thank you!
It is a hard decision as I think this has been one of the best series I have ever seen on TV. Not one bad one amongst them. Is it avalable on DVD yet>?

It's hard to choose a favourite because each had a different but wonderful story to go with it. For me it went like this...
Airfix - Showed a delightful nostalgic look back into James's past and the sharing of childhood memories by the inclusion of his parents. Plasticine - One in the eye to the elitist and a triumph of engaging ordinary people into a world they would never get to participate in. James in his "antiestablishment" mode. Scalextrics - The revival of an old racing circuit and the union of local people and corporate businesses with a single goal; to win a race. An episode that showed James's passion for cars. Lego - Visually, I felt this was the weaker of the series but it was strong on community spirit and made a perfect episode for a party to all the people who played a big part in putting the entire series together. A celebration episode and one where James could say thank you to the many people who helped him. Hornby - Many boys love train sets and this showed the passion, excitement and expectation. Sheer happy boyhood indulgence. It demonstrated that James is just a lad who is determined never to grow up and is not afraid to show this side of his character. Meccano - Very strong on design and engineering excellence, both things on which James thrives.
So where does this leave me with regard to my favourite .......... they were all brilliant so passion and pleasure have to come into play. Despite the fact that the train never made it to Bideford it showed lots of happiness and pleasure from James and as James makes me happy my vote has to be with Hornby. What a sentimental person I am!

Lego was my favourite, then probably plasticine..I am a little bit shocked that James was surprised that people turned up to make things..I think probably most of them where there to see James if I'm honest, not really to build :L

There were one or two people of that kind at the Plasticine workshop, sad to say, although the majority of the people who were there stayed for the whole time.
