Why is it listed as a children's book? It's probably part of their range of children's books. They probably do more children's TG books than they do for adults these days, to be honest - sticker books, poster books, craft books, school organisers etc. - it's like they've realised how popular it is with children and bizarrely, half the schoolkids in the land now have three middle-aged blokes and a chap who never removes his helmet usurping pop stars and footballers in their affections  ;D |

I'm sure they're doing quite nicely from the spin-offs from their own projects, what with Hammond having his own production company (which is the same situation as Andy and Jeremy with Bedder 6) and James having his arrangement with Plum. It's also quite possible that they do have reciprocal agreements for the use of their likenesses/material etc. |

I don't feel sorry for any of them, money-wise. They have enough to live comfortably and realize a dream or two, and that's enough for anyone.

Having a company itself isn't enough to make you money. As alas I can personally confirm from a financially rather disastrous 2009 Of course both James and Richard are well off. It's just that the BBC is now publishing all kind of TopGear merchandise, including rubbish like soap on a bar. That's milking it and it would be nice if the guys got their share of the profits the bbc make. |

Richard did co-produce the Christmas TG DVD through Hamster's Wheel though.
I do think there is too much TG branded tat out there now though. How many different Stig-shaped things can a person need?!

There were some weird things about at Christmas, including a washbag that was such an odd shape that you'd have trouble packing it into a normal case. It had completely plain items inside too....all you got was Stiggy on the front. |
