This clip, which I found yesterday, shows some stunning footage of a night take-off and flight of my all-time favourite military aircraft, the awesome SR-71 Blackbird. I thought I'd post it here because it reminded me of James, albeit in a somewhat tenuous way.

At 3:20 and 4:04, there are some wonderful shots of the Earth, similar to those taken by James while at 70,000 feet in the U-2 plane last year. However, the shots here were taken at 81,000 feet, while cruising at Mach 3, ie. about 2000 mph!
