James in audience of Jools Holland

Several people are tweeting that James was in the audience in last night's (18th May) epsiode of Later Live with Jools Holland. Vic Reeves was spotted as well.

Anyone seen it?

Someone just "tweeted" this about James being on the JH show....

saw James May on Jools Holland last night. He managed to emulate perfect pomposity in a 3 word sentence.

Does anyone know what James said? I'm curious now!

Its available on iplayer ;D can't wait til i get home, Alicia keys was on it can't believe i missed this I love Alicia keys james looks very relaxed and gorgoeus as always

Have just watched this on i-player. James looks mighty fine. Didn't someone say they had seen him and woman in the departure lounge at Heathrow the other day? Must have been a short trip, unless 'Later with Jools is pre-recorded', I always thought it went out live.

You're right there Eshalda, he was spotted! Maybe James and Woman had a "dirty weekend" away somewhere

This is terrible! The only time I've briefly watched Jools to watch Alicia Keys and I miss James!!! What are the chances?

Have posted elsewhere that Jools appeared to be struggling to get James' name - Jools briefly interviewed Vic Reeves then briefly brushed over James, who was sitting next to Vic, asked him if he had just been on Vic's programme (alert?) and finished up with "The wonderful Jeff Beck.....and other people"











(Not brilliant pics as I'm only just getting to grips with screenshots, and the lighting was gloomy anyway! Might try to improve them when I've got a bit more time)

Now here's a thing....I've got the repeat on BBC2 at the moment, and it's just been the Jeff Beck "Over the Rainbow" piece, after which there was the interview with Vic Reeves and James. Only, this time there was no interview - there wasn't an edit, Jools went straight from the end of Beck to introduce the next act.

The odd bit was that this was the extended edition, an hour instead of 30 minutes. I can't really understand why you would cut things out of a programme double the size of the original!

Or, for that matter, keep an interview in a music programme only half of its original length, looking at it from another angle.
