Watched this tonight and it was fascinating. I can't believe Sir Stirling is 80 He must have a portrait in the attic. Hamster gets a lot of stick for some of the TV jobs he opts for but this one IMHO was one of his best. He and Stirling talked frankly about their respective accidents and subsequent recoveries. Worth catching if it's on iplayer

This was a very interesting programme. I've always admired Stirling Moss, I remember him from my early childhood and he seems such a strong character - he recently fell down a lift-shaft in his high-tech home at the age of 80 and brushed it off.
Richard seemed to me to have a little more, well, gravitas. I'm afraid that I've always considered him the "lightweight" of the trio, so I was pleased to see how well he interviewed Moss, talking with great insight and intelligence about his own crash. And after not having seen Hammond's accident since the time that he came back to the programme, dear God, what a truly appalling crash it was, and how unbelievably lucky he is to still be with us.

I had forgotten how horrific the footage of Richards crash was. When you think of all the 'elf & safety he had to go through to even get in the rocket car, you have to wonder how Sir Stirling survived his pileup. A very absorbing and thought-provoking piece of tele

I forgot this was on, but hopefully some nice person will provide a download link somewhere along the line. Was looking forward to it, too, but I've been so busy with my preparations for my presentation tomorrow I completely lost track

It's on iplayer:http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00sfptv/Hammond_Meets_Moss/
Compelling viewing. Sir Stirling is a true legend.I really admire Mindy for not planting memories about their relationship in Richard's mind during his recovery and allowing him to rediscover it for himself.I'm not sure that I would be so unselfish.

It's also on Thebox: thebox.bz/details.php?id=121567 I found it to be surprising and also insightful into not only Sterling but also to Richard. You can tell that they can be open about some things, but only to an extent. I also found it interesting when Sterling asked Richard about his crash and how he answers them.

It is very good, Jacqui, and well worth watching. I was so impressed by the candour of both Richard and Stirling.

I finally got round to watching this last night (world cup avoidence mandatory in our house) what a really good program it was to. Very moving, and Richard was really quite frank about his accident and the aftermath. When you see him on the first TG after the accident looking back you could see he wasn't well but at the time he didn't seem so obvious. Perhaps it was just relief that he was still with us so we saw what we wanted to see, the Hamster smiley and jokey like he always is. Great program, well done Hamster

MOH and I watched this over the weekend too - and both agreed it was fab, really interesting and quite scary as well in some ways.
Can't believe Moss is 80! He's fantastic.
My heart melted when Hammond said how he luckily feel in love with Mindy again.... awwww that's SOOOO wonderful and sweet. Did laff though when he was saying that he thought his wife was french when he first woke up.
