I've just read a recent interview with Hugh Dennis which contained the comment "Soon he'll be off with wine writer Oz Clarke for another TV travelogue." So sadly, as I think we'd all guessed, it looks as if "Oz and James" is definitely no more.

That Oz is also doing programmes with Hugh Dennis doesn't mean there will be no more shows with James. James has mentioned in several interviews that they are thinking about new projects together.

I hope one day that I'll have the opportunity to tell my story about why Oz is so special to me, whether it be on TV, online or on radio.... takes a great man to help an autistic woman overcome her very acute, severe, chronic phobia of drinking alcoholic beverages....

I like to think James and Oz will do the flying from england to australia thingy he spoke about in an interview last year. But as he mentions he would take quite of chunk of both their time Ooohhh but the time spent would be so worth it! And if there's one thing I go geeky over, it's aeroplanes... I would be there with bells on if James decided to recreate one of Charles Kingsford Smith's historic routes. (There's a memorial to him at Brisbane airport, which I've spent more than a few hours at over the years... usually because I hit the airport way too early when picking someone up, and being unwilling to pay the exhorbitant airport parking prices... but also because I'm an aerospace history geek who was practically born with my eyes glued to the skies, being as dad was working on the last Apollo moon missions when I was born... but yeah, I digress.) tl;dr: James HAS TO DO THIS! It's a story which cries out for the James treatment. It has courage, determination... Kingsford-Smith even spoke in what some might call a British accent... JAMES HAS TO DO THIS! *squees*

Interesting nugget of info coming from Stuart Howe, a brewer at Sharp's Brewery in Cornwall:
Came up on my Oz Clarke Google Alert!

I was talking to someone yesterday who also can confirm the Oz and Hugh-ness of the next series. They'll be discovering ginger beer in Cornwall (which sounds like an entirely different type of travelogue) with a large chap in a pub.

I would have likes Oz nd James to have tasted Italian wines, South African wines Chilean wines New Zealand wines... I would just have liked them to continue making wine programmes together.

I'm still hoping they may one day do the plane journey to australia/NZ stopping off at lots of places on the way but as James said it would take ages to make
