So it becomes clear exactly what they've been up to... www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/news/a283615/top-gear-stars-for-wise-men-challenge.htmlThree wise men? Are they sure?! It's certainly what you'd call a Christmas special, anyway! As an aside though, I'm really glad I only heard the details after the fact. I know it's silly, and they would have been well looked after (more blokes with pixellated faces, I suppose ;D) but I'd have worried

Oh, that's scarey. And I know what you mean about feeling concerned for them. Most of the time it's hoping there will never be another accident. This is on a different level, though. I agree it wouldn't have been done without stringent safety arrangements but still, that's not a particularly safe part of the world at times.
I love the concept, though - Three Wise Men. Which will be the first tabloid to suggest that the "TG3 think they're bigger than Jesus"?

I wonder if they will be carrying gold, frankinsense and mhyr? This is a very brave journey to undertake by the TG3, as it was by the original magi.

Someone on on FG said that they have heard that, TG will not be airing on a Sunday. Anyone here heard this?

Sadly not, though I'd have thought to leave the Sunday slot on the beeb 2 at eight would be the act of a mad man, there again, who knows with the way things are anything is in the bag.....or words to that effect

Me thinks we'll be filming our own stuff soon...... ;D may all help us !! ;D Personally TG needs to stay on BBC 2 and at eight, though I'm certain the powers to be won't give a toss

The guy on FG who posted the 'not on Sunday' comment has so much neg-rep that I don't think he's that reliable. He's since posted that 'he got it wrong and it will be Sunday after all'.

.... He's since posted that 'he got it wrong and it will be Sunday after all'. Although maybe not... Can't see this link[/color] posted anywhere else, but I'm still finding my way around so apologies if it's a duplicate. There's a link to a video with a short clip of the TG show - I've capped it and there's a couple of pics of James below. Stuck them here rather than the pics thread as they are slightly spoilerish.

It says this will be aired on Boxing Day. I know that Boxing Day is usually the day after Christmas, but my calendar shows it as Tuesday 28 December. Is this true?? It shows Monday 27 December as a Bank Holiday.

Boxing day is always the 26th December. However, because it is a bank holiday, if it falls on a Sat or Sun, the following Mon or Tues is known as Boxing Day Bank Holiday. So this year both the Mon and Tues are bank hols due to Christmas Day being a Sat. So your calendar is correct - but I suspect the show will be on the 26th as that's a Sunday. Although, the first episode is on a Tuesday, and the 28th is a Tuesday, so who knows

Damn. The family will be coming over to my place on Boxing Day for a late Christmas dinner and pressies. How can I get them to leave before 9.00* pm?
I guess, three courses and one pressie per person will have to do. ;D

For a change, my extended family are coming on the 27th. For the first time in the last 15 years or so, we are free on Boxing Day evening. Even Mr Crumbs wouldn't miss a TG Christmas special. Hurrah!

It's only Boxing day. ;D You can also fake a massive cold, or throw up during christmas dinner (we had this two years ago when half the family was ill during christmas)... Or talk really quickly. Mr Hops and I will be probably at the in-laws (not yet in-laws I should say but that takes up rather more space as I'm now demonstrating ;D) or at my father's. It's hopeless...

Showed MOH the bit on the TG website about the Xmas special, he nearly wet himself laffing at the thought of the 3 wise men theme.... so he's primed to borrow it off "tinternet" as soon as it's available ;D
