I'm definitely going to the Melbourne show whenever they come here. And I hope that I can save up for Platinum tickets.

I am totally at the Melbourne show!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait! I wondered why they didn't come to Melb last time.
I hope it's all three of them at the show, but prob not. I'll bet it only Jeremy and Richard and I will miss out on James. *Ever the eternal pessimist - stop it Wen*

Think I might register on the TopGear live website for their newsletter to get any updates.

They signed up to 3 years of shows in Sydney with Events NSW (2009, 2010, 2011), and now they are doing Brisbane and Melbourne as well as Sydney in 2011! As the article says, 1/3 of TG live show tickets were bought by interstate buyers...and of course TG and Mr Wilman know TG fans come from all over Australia to see the shows in Sydney, so I think very nice of him to spread the tour to a couple more major cities in Australia ;D Can't predict who the presenters will be really...2009 was Jez, Hamster and Steve Pizzati, 2010 shows were Jez, James and Greg Murphy. Who knows who'll be in the line up in 2011? ;D

* Aussie slowly walks in after recovering from her jet lag and being awake for over 55 hours straight *This is soooooooooo exciting. ;D I wonder if I have enough annual leave at work to go to all 3 cities? ? They better not have "Kenny" as the 3rd presenter. Can't stand him at all.

How much were tickets last time? Once again, vertebraille gets to the spine of the matter ;D ... yeah, as someone moving states (again), I'd like to know this. (My excuse for not going last time? I didn't live in the country when tickets went on sale! Good enough?) So, longtime TGL'ers, how much WAS it to go see "our boys"?

Ticket prices went up between 2009 and 2010. So I would expect prices to rise again for next year.
For nose bleed seats, prices are around $69. The expensive seats this year were around $250. Prices are more expensive if you buy during some of the pre-sales. Usually around $20.

I better start saving then! I don't want to go if I have to sit in the nose bleeds, but I'm not sure if I will be able to find someone to go with for $250.

LOL you'd be surprised Vertebraille - 5 of us Aussie JMB went together back in Feb at $270 a pop diamond seats! ;D
Can I recommend the non-alcohol seats - very good platinum seats just above the diamond seats at $130 (last year's prices) ;D

The Eagles only cost me $256 for best seats. Might have to give TG Live a miss I think!

LOL Wen, I'm glad my version of nostalgia was cheap for the ticket price anyway... ($30 to see Models at the Espy last Friday night) - then again it was the plane tickets etc which did the real damage!
Still, I'll wait until the shows are announced and see if I have the cash... and the non-alcohol seats sound like a goer, thanks Eclair. (seriously, who spends that much to see a show and then drinks the night away, anyhow?) ;D

Just to clarify...a bunch of aussie JMB'ers have been to a few shows both 2009 and 2010 ;D and we did both diamond, platinum (non-alcohol and alcohol) and was it gold or silver seats (can't remember). Diamond seats naturally excellent with Mr May, Clarkson, Hammond etc walking past and being right up close to the action. Platinum seats are excellent and non-alcohol in particular for their location and elevated unobstructed views...(and no I never had any bother at all with kids being in that section...I never saw any...mind you the noise me and the 5 or so other JMB'ers made exceeded what noise any poor child could possibly have made )....silver and gold seats give you nose bleeds as Aussie put and quite frankly are mostly terrible. If you are going to the shows go for platinum ticks.

Today, instead of recovering from my hospital visit yesterday, I went to visit my friend "google" about TGL (as I'm impatient about wanting to know dates) I found this that has only appeared in the last few days: boxoffice.smh.com.au/smh/waitlistitem/1196/top-gear-live-2010/No dates but at least it confirms Brissie and Melbourne.
