James mentioned in one of the interviews that the series and the book are only loosely connected. So the fact that the book is out, alas doesn't mean the series is due. On the BBC website it was mentioned in the fall/winter overview, but it could still mean we'll have to wait until Christmas.  |

Lovely interview, I adore his understatement.  Thanks for posting, fallatyourfeet. But.. what's with the ridiculous hairdo? What is it? Eighties? Old? I don't know but I know that I don't like it.  (Anyone know how I can make this pic smaller? in my bucket it's much smaller than on here.. sorry!) I mean, when he's talking and moving he's as cute as ever but as a still piccie the hair almost spoils his charms... What do you think? Adore the T-shirt, though. It's fab! I want one. And the book. And the audio book. Is it confirmed that he has read that as well? I couldn't find information on the reader on Amazon. * off to NC again, to see how that purple shirt is coming off ;D * |

On the subject of babies, I wonder about the births he has seen. Suppose they were when he worked in the hospital, but I thought he was some sort of filing clerk there, maybe I'm wrong.

Spot on there, Eshalda. Apparently, he was getting bored with his own job, so he asked if he could do something else one day - and thus got shoved into the maternity unit and witnessed a birth or two. I can't help but wonder if that was what he actually wanted to do! Maybe he'd have preferred being on the theatres, passing scalpels and stuff across to the surgeons. |

I think James would have liked to have been the surgeon. Well, at least the scalpels would be organised perfectly.. And I've no doubt that he'd be an excellent, meticulous surgeon. One would only need to be anesthesised for twice the normal duration of the surgery... ;D And, for another set of reasons, I'd seriously prefer not having mr May around when/if I'm giving birth... Just nine months before will do (oops, on my way to the NC...) ;D |
