I tried to listen to that, came in at 49 mins as suggested and couldn't stand more than 1:30 of it, so I still haven't heard it.

I saw one in St Austel when I was on holiday in Cornwall aged about 16. I think I'd stopped listening to Radio 1 even back then! I was a Capital girl!

I saw one in Gt. Yarmouth and got to talk to Smiley Miley which was,as you can imagine,highly exciting.

I used to go to the Radio 1 Roadshow back in the dim and distant past when it still existed and I was still at school. Now I am 37 years old and have no desire to be woken by people hammering on dustbin lids and shouting about buying old fashioned toys (well, at least, I think that's what 'yo yo, check it out' means). I can almost hear how unfeasible the trousers they were wearing when they recorded the song were.
