Thanks for posting, linden! James is lovely in the podcast. His voice is very gravelly . The part about (one of) them leaving TG "probably not that far in the future" and letting other people having a go at it made me slightly sad. It can't go on forever but I like to think it will. I'll be sure to buy my shoes at May's Shoe Lab Shop once it opens, heheh. ;D

Thanks so much for posting this, Linden. I needed a good laugh this morning! ;D
I could listen to James' voice all day! Not only the sound of it, but he has such a wonderful and thought-provoking way of addressing each subject! ;D

Love the way they slipped a photo of james in his space suit amongst the TG live photos ;D Can't wait for the podcast but will have to, as at work

Working in a shoe shop was my weekend and holiday job, and I loved it. Even today I can remember the shoe names and put a picture to them. I also loved shoes and bought many, well I did get a good discount.

Thanks for posting lindenchase. That voice... *thud*It would be sad to see one of the boys leave the show one day, but I reckon James is right about it being able to continue. Would be different for sure...but what would be weirder is seeing other people replace them. Top Gear is Clarkson, Hammond and May, or whatever combination of the three. (This is why I've had trouble embracing Top Gear Australia. Ok show, but just isn't the same. ) Whoever else is brave enough to have a go certainly has big shoes to fill.

I think there will probably be some kind of format change when one or more of the boys decides to call it a day, so it won't be the same show. For my money, I can see a chap called Tom Ford fitting in very well (he used to take care of part of the TG website when it was first revamped, and he's worked on the magazine for years as well as presenting Fifth Gear in the past, so he has the right kind of background - and to be honest, he was too restricted on FG because he has a daft sense of humour and good screen presence). I think he probably has the best telly potential of any of the younger generation (ha, I say younger, he's only a couple of years younger than me) of motoring journalists not currently on screen.
Actually, I'd love them to do what they did with the first series of TG Aus and hold open auditions - encourage people to send in tapes of them doing a 'TG article' about cars, and take it from there. But hopefully not for a while yet.
