My dog is called Ruby. She is a very hairy collie-based mutt who wants to play.  She's four years old, just under 50lb, and very good natured. She came to me as a stray pup of about three months of age; she was already house-trained, but still had all of her milk teeth.  Her favorite thing in the world is running. Well her most favorite thing is probably killing squirrels, truth be told. But that involves running, too. She also likes snow:  Annoying the cat:  And pretending to play fetch (in reality, she plays keep-away!)  |

Great to see that there are quite a few dog lovers on this bord! I have three of myself. Two are just my dogs, altho I spoil them to death as well, and one is like my baby. I take her with me everywhere. Which is also a burden at times, for I'd love to to go Britain one day, and this won't be possible yet. The longest we've been seperated is 4 hours, when I went to see the Hobbit movie and went to Top Gear Live. She's been sort of my helping dog since a few months, officially, for I have Asperger's Syndrome and it's very hard at times to go somewhere, so she supports me. My baby girl is the very right one called Kaiya. Left is Romy and in the middle Dribbel which, yes, dribbling in English xD  Since we don't have a car, everything is being done on my bike   |

We lost Angel this morning, she had been sick for a while.  She was 13 years old, so she had a good and long life with people who loved her. We will miss her. |

Oh no, I am sorry. I still miss my Duke, and it's almost 11 years since I lost him. They leave pawprints on your heart thought.

So sorry to hear about your loss; it's so painful to lose a loved furry friend, but as you say you have some consolation that Angel had a long and happy life.

Today the old saying, "When it rains, it pours.", hit home big time.  We found out today that our dog Cricket has a malignant tumor on her tongue. Treatment is not an option because of her age, she's 13, and where the tumor is on her tongue. Lew brought her home from the vets to spend a few days with us before we let her go. We've had her since she was a puppy, and we will miss her terribly when she's gone. |

Oh no, I am so very sorry - I lost one of my cats in almost the same way, and it was a tough call. She looks like a sweet old thing, and she's had a long life full of love. You'll know when she's ready to go, but she'll always be with you <3

My mum has a new furbaby, and she's the most ridiculous little sausage you've ever seen (the dog that is, not my mum)!  This is my mum with Flossie the puppy   She's a shi tzu/bichon frise cross and at the moment she's about the same size as one of my mum's shoes.  Being this cute on a full time basis is exhausting work! |
