What a well written blog, I could sense his excitement from here. He's just soooooooo lucky to be given that sort of work experience. I'd do anything to be involved in just one tiny bit of Top Gear and they wouldn't even need to pay me.
I too hope he continues to blog.

Whilst it might not have been quite as detailed it still made very interesting reading. I really enjoyed the bit about how skilled the TG3 are at presenting. Yes, we already know this, they've been doing it for years but despite all their cocking about they really are the best.

And today, standing at the bottom waiting for the lift, was James May.

Not work experience exactly, more 'work'. This lucky lady is working with the guys in SA this week. She tweeted earlier "KellyMay and I are at an intimate gathering with... Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May, Sir Stirling Moss, Tiff Needell....AND... Jody Scheckter and Sons, Eddie Jordan, Nick Mason and his lovely wife, David Coulthard, Derek Bell. We feel very honoured!" But it's not all fun "Two more days of Top Gear missioning and then back to Cape Town I go. I need a long holiday after this whole experience." and " Joburg, get your rain out of here already. This is BS. I have to make a VVIP party happen. You are not helping." But it's all ended happily "I am watching Nick Mason on bongo drums. While every Tom, Dick and Arno Carstens sings Ride Sally Ride. Classic!" You have no idea how insanely jealous I am of this girl, whoever she is!!!! Anyway, here's her blog lotsofdifferentstuff.blogspot.com/2011/03/top-gear.htmlAnd it sounds as if james is enjoying himself - tweet from Jody Sheckter's nephew (?) Hugo "James May doing kareoke to 'Hey Jude!' Rather drunk lol" also "Left the Top Gear after party to take my sisters to bed. I can hear Jeremy Clarkson signing 'Ride Sally, Ride' from my room. lol"

Bump (relevant)
The guy, Darren Moss, tweeted today:
Apparently James May remembers me from doing Top Gear work experience in January. This has literally made my evening.
The guy has now got a full-time job working as a journalist for Car and Accessory Trader magazine.
