That's so sad - I was talking to James about Fusker at the Dec booksigning and he was saying what a great cat he is.

Oh no. Wonder what it says about me that I'm nearly crying just at reading that. I'm really sorry for your loss James. We all know Fusker had a great life.

webpageroberts.blogspot.com/I know I don't really know him or his cat, but it will seem strange not looking for Fusker when James done some filming in his house.

That's so sad and horrible news. It's the worse thing with cats - they are free to roam and I'd never take that away from them but the danger is always there. Just had to go and hug my own and tell him to be careful. RIP Fusker - Top Gear Cat.

That's made me tearful too, had to go and check on my three. Cats are part of the family with their own characters and it's hell when you lose one. James, you have my sympathies - some people just won't understand but those of us who love our cats are thinking of you.

Oh no, that's awful, and not even to have found him to bury him either! I've had 2 cats run over in the past, it's really horrible, and when my neighbour's cat was run over, the council found it and disposed of it making no effort to trace the owner at all, so she most certainly knows how James must be feeling. I'm at TOH's house at the moment, so I can't check on or hug my cats. I hope Wyvern will attend to that for me. James, you have my deepest sympathy. Love & hugs to both of you.

I'm on my way home now but I promise I'll give them both big hugs when I get in. I've been out with a friend this evening and we both had a bit of a sniffle. I bet there are a few angels with clawed ankles and scratched hands at the moment. Still, Fusker was a much loved cat and it sounds like the people of that corner of Hammersmith will miss him. It's very sad. EDIT: Am home now, MF - have given the cats big squidges, and they now both hate me very much indeed

RIP Fusker. I told my cat who's lying on the floor right now to not get hit by a car. He's not that smart, but at least he won't do that.
My condolences to James.

I lost my cat to cancer in November, so when I read James had lost Fusker I really did have a bit of a cry. It's been very quiet in our flat since our little kitty passed so I know what it must be like for our James and Sarah Condolences for them both and RIP Fusker.

I found one of mine that was hit by a car. This kind of brings it all back. I hope that they get another kitty soon.

I lost my Maine Coone kitty to cancer three years ago. I knew it was coming too. I don't think it made a difference at all in how much it sucked.

Aww... and yet how touching that it's the "hey, your cat assaulted me -- what are you going to do about it?" neighbor who posted on Fusker's passing.
Adieu, kitty. I don't doubt that Mindy has another cat waiting in the wings if James wants one, but he or she won't be you.

James.. man to man sorry to hear about your cat, bit of a bugger that. Just shows you small furry things can't compete with large tyres... All macho s&^t aside I can understand as I had a little 2 year old Saimese who decided to play with a needle and thread. This unfortunately ended with the needle going through her palate... and yes I still miss her.. even though I have 2 abysinnian cats. One thing I absolutely adore about pets is their unconditional love.. Well.. ok the only condition is a bed and food. RIP Fusker...

Oh poor little Fusker.
Yes, I found that sad - putting up posters in the hope someone would find him only to hear the inevitable.
I feel for James and W too. It 's so very hard to lose a much loved pet.
