Sunday 13th Febuary 2011
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May set out to buy second-hand convertibles and discover some of the unusual pitfalls to watch out for when picking up a used car bargain.
Plus, Jeremy is on the test track in the powerful Pagani Zonda R, whilst Simon Pegg is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.

When Jeremy got gassed you could really hear his Yorkshire accent.

I thought the helium test was particularly funny.

"Gentlemen's Relish" - the look on James' face was enough to induce hysteria.
Plus his voice on the helium made me think of an old buffer recounting his exploits; I have a feeling that one day James will sound like that for real.
I enjoyed this episode, though I thought the Zonda review was a bit overlong for my liking.

It wasn't the best episode of Top Gear ever in terms of actual content, but in terms of sheer entertainment value, it's one of the best episodes they've made in a very long time. There were moments when I was physically doubled up with laughter, and I adored the guests (I recognised the droid noise as soon as they made it - if you grew up a Star Wars obsessive, you'd recognise it too). Great to see Paul Swift's boys out there in the MX-5s and I know I'm not the only one who was quite touched when Jeremy said his little 'bye-bye' to the Zonda.
Not just great Top Gear but great entertainment full stop.

It was not the best episode, but some good laughs. I was close to quitting TG but these last two eps seem to be getting things back on a even keel.

I think a few already have judging by the amount of votes, and general chit chat Anyway. Gentleman's relish ;D I even had to explain to my kids that yes it's an edible treat ;D Had alarm memories, at least I knew it was my car when I heard the bloody thing go off, and if memory serves me right, it wasn't cheap to install, so to you Mr May.

It was a good episode. The Zonda piece was excellent, and the challenge was adequate. Maybe that was the weak point really. Loved Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Have I missed anything out? Errr... maybe it wasn't the most memorable then but it was Top Gear.

Download here. Not sure about the quality of this one - I've encoded it exactly the same way as normal but it looks a bit blocky This could be because my new laptop has a full HD screen so non-HD stuff looks 'worse' - let me know if it's OK otherwise I'll have another go at encoding it.[/s] New version here. Definitely better quality.

The helium 'experiment' was hilarious as was the gentlemans relish comment. ( I really must learn not to drink whilst watching TG, its dangerous to one's health when inhaled through ones nose)
Not the most fulfilling of episodes, a bit limp in places, but still very entertaining ;D

Well I think that it was the best episode for quite a while - the Zonda bit had fab camera shots - the funny bits actually were funny - the SIARPCs were great and the challenge wasn't too long that it became boring - I've given it 9 out of 10 I especially liked the fact that I didn't find any of it cringeworthy which is a bit of a novelty nowadays

Great show this week; plenty of laughs throughout. TG is definitely back on form as far as I'm concerned! ;D

I loved Nick Frost & Simon Pegg - an actual movie that i might want to go see! They were fabulous!
The Zonda bit was a tad too long, but I liked Jeremy's goodbye and James - "...and that will be the end then..." Jeremy - "Erm... No."
The challenge was great. Top Gear back on top form. Poor, poor Richard. It's usually James in that kind of situation. The helium test was brilliant! Had me in stitches! ;D ;D
Well done, boys! ;D
