A recent study from Australia shows that speeding makes you drive better because your body is experiencing the fight-or-flight effect of increased Adrenalin which in turn gives you better reflexes and perception. I would like to particularly draw attention to the research team's names and the reference section at the end of the study.

Speeding has been hard on my pocketbook, as I got two speeding tickets in as many weeks! Damned cameras will be the death of me.
