Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May set out to end the chaos and misery that snowfall brings to Britain every year, using a combine harvester, some basic engineering skills and a quick trip to Norway.
Also in this show, Jeremy is on the test track in the new Audi RS5 and the latest BMW M3. Plus there's a rather surprising guest in the Reasonably Priced Car.
Seeing as middle lew is going to Agri College, come this autumn, this may "help him" or put him off for life ;D

In the UK, Amber Heard is now trending on Twitter. ;D I assume that means that suddenly more people are mentioning her name? Would it be in connection with words such as vacuous, air-head and precocious? Actually I roared with laughter at the interview, simply because of Jezza's reaction. If he'd been any more overcome he would have to have been poured into a bucket. James' response was equally funny, the blinking was back and he even did a tiny quiver which made me laugh out loud. I suppose they'll be accused of sexism now.

At least now we know the "Petrolhead Dream Girl": A gun-toting, musclecar-driving, lapsed Catholic cute blonde Texan lesbian. Who reads George Orwell.

They'd better bloody not be - as a car-mad, occasionally gun-toting bisexual, I feel more included than ever in the TG experience ;D As for why Amber Heard was trending, well, I know the people I was watching with were all quite smitten - me included

I've only ever toted a gun once, and apparently I was very good at it.
I feel I should point out that it was at an army firing range. No human beings were harmed in the execution of my experience.
(Perhaps I shouldn't have used the word 'execution'?)

(Perhaps I shouldn't have used the word 'execution'?)My dad keeps promising to take me out rough shooting but we never seem to get around to it. Over the last few years I've not toted any kind of gun, but I used to keep my eye in with an airgun. This is how I ended up trying to shoot the mice in my kitchen. Guns, even airguns, and wine don't mix really... never fired a shot all night, but the mice never came back.

I love it when other women are interested in guns. There aren't enough of us. I have a 357 and I try to shoot regularly; on Tuesdays my local range has "Ladies Day/Night" where women get to use the range for $1 an hour (as opposed to $12 an hour). I haven't been there in a few months because of my leg - kinda hard to balance on crutches and shoot a gun - but hopefully I'll be able to go again by next week.

I really enjoyed this episode. Loved the harvester cum snow plow. The plow section needs a bit revamping to be truly effective, but it's a fantastic idea! ;D ;D
It looks as though I was the only one not particularly interested in the SIARPC. MOH watched this with me last night. He hardly ever wants to watch the 'star' segment, so I always fast forward through it and then watch it later. I just watched it this afternoon. Certainly not the most interesting of guests. Okay, I suppose.
I learned to fire a gun like my grandmother did. My grandfather pinned the tail of a garter snake to the clothesline, and I was given the gun and told to shoot off its head. A little gruesome, I know. But it makes you work really hard.
Mind you, I haven't fired a weapon in ages. MOH wants me to take a gun safety course with him because he's planning on buying a couple of guns this year. I wouldn't mind getting my hand in again.

Certainly not the most interesting of guests. Okay, I suppose. True, but worth it for Jezza's and James's reactions. Funnily only Hammond seemed unaffected.

It was the reactions that made it worth it. Yes, I suppose the only other thing the SIARPC could have added to the mix was if she was a brewery heiress. But the reaction of two very English middle-aged men made it so worthwhile.

Over here our laws are very strict (I know I sound lighthearted) but to be honest it's for the best. I love it, clays that is and the odd bunny for the pot....sadly it's a dying art

I have a .22 air rifle - the only thing I kill is the shed door - in fact I've killed it so many times that it's full of lead and the pellets are starting to ricochet! It's great to draw a pic of a pet hate, pin it on the door and blast it to kingdom come - very liberating. I am a sweet old gran, honestly!!!! Ooh! by the way, I really enjoyed this episode. This series is back to Top Gear at it's best, funny but not too cringeworthy, with a bit of everything to keep everybody happy: from petrolheads to ladeez, to 6 year old boys! Well done TG team!

I enjoyed this but not as much as ep. 4 (just seen them back to back). I thought this one a wee bit more contrived.
I enjoyed the Amber interview - it wasn't her but the 2 middle aged gents rather silly lascivious reactions that made me laugh.

I really am getting hacked off with our press of late Why don't they just SHUT UP and get themselves a sense of humor I think the trouble with the Fail in particular is that they managed to stir up enough fuss to get rid of Ross and Brand and now they think if they try hard enough they'll get rid of Clarkson too.
