Ok, that ghost-hunting clip is really cracking me up.
I don't believe in ghosts at all, but watching them jump like that....oh good times. For me. I think my husband thought I was watching the news with him, and I kept replaying that clip and laughing at weird times from his point of view. ;D

I can't find the details, but I'm sure James has been ghost-hunting before and wrote an article about it (?) From that clip he isn't the bravest bunny in the toybox, but I doubt I could do better - in fact I know damn well I couldn't! I'm wondering if you're thinking of the story from Car Fever about the purportedly haunted airport car park. Not sure if that's what you had in mind but it's all I could think of that relates I've done a bit of ghost-hunting myself and seen/heard a few odd things, so I applaud his courage in wandering through a dark, spooky building. It's not like there's a good time to hear disembodied voices or footsteps but I'm thinking high noon would seem a bit less stressful

Noticed something amusing. I was browsing books in the children's section of the library on Wednesday and came across a book called, "The Boys' Book of Survival: How to Survive Anything, Anywhere". It's published in the US by Scholastic but was first published in G.B. by Buster Books in 2008. It seems to be part of a series of books written by various authors published in the 2000s. Its contents are a cute mix of real and tongue-in-cheek directions for how to survive various situations a boy might find himself in. It seems to be a funny version of the Boy's Own type of books. What caught my eye were these topics in the index. How to Survive a Duel How to Read a Compass How to Cope Without a Compass Using the Sun How to Survive a Haunting How to Land an Airplane in an Emergency How to Stage a Jailbreak www.amazon.com/Boys-Survival-Survive-Anything-Anywhere/dp/0545085365/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1319819029&sr=1-1#reader_0545085365Another book in the series tells How to Take a Penalty Kick. www.amazon.com/Boys-Book-How-Best-Everything/dp/0545016282/ref=pd_rhf_se_shvl4#reader_0545016282Of course none of them told how to build a bar, build a pool table, make a fish finger sandwich, build a kitchen counter, navigate on the ocean by dead reckoning or dog, call for help if out of toilet paper or get rid of insects by model aircraft.

I'm wondering if you're thinking of the story from Car Fever about the purportedly haunted airport car park. Not sure if that's what you had in mind but it's all I could think of that relates Thanks for that, trustme, but it's not solved my problem, and I'm annoyed with myself now! First of all, I thought it might well be the haunted car park article, so I looked in Car Fever and couldn't find it. Then I looked in May on Motors and Notes From The Hard Shoulder in case the haunted car park was in one of those, but it isn't. Or at least I couldn't find it. So that's disappeared (in a ghostly manner, I suppose). What's really annoying me is that I suspect what I'm remembering is a passing reference along the lines of a one-sentence mention that James once spent a night in a haunted house for an article he was writing for a magazine. A quote as passing as that might be almost impossible to find now. If anyone can enlighten me any further I'd be delighted, as I'm now getting to the stage where I think I may have imagined it.

I am so tickled by the Ghost Hunting. I love it when two interests collide. Imagine, being locked in a haunted house with James. Wine and Scooby Snacks. Zoinks!

If you're imagining it, then so am I. However, I was thinking that he'd written fairly recently about filming this piece for Manlab, so TG magazine would be the likely option.

No Dit, I remember it too. He mentioned in a video interview that he'd once spent time in a haunted place and that he couldn't get out of there fast enough (or words to that effect). I think it would be be really hard to find.

It's quite handy that my mother has had quite a few ex boyfriends, for everyone of them has left something here coincidentely: I've found some beautiful antique items behind a drawer under mother's wardrobe, I have found a shirt that I use ever since as a nightgown, I have found loads of tools and a couple of days back I found a beautiful concrete drill!! It has been in the cupboard for, well, many years and I found it while my mother and I were "haunting" for mice. ;D How handy is that? ;D I now have the urge to just use it in our house, make lovely holes on, well, less lovely places ;D Defo going to learn to work with it though

He was only on in trailer form.It was the guys from Fungus mainly talking about getting back together and how James made it possible for them to even rethink about letting the dream die.

I'm gonna get told off for throwing things at the ceiling. But if mum asks - James May told me to do it! Hahaha.
I have to admit. My heart is racing! Might need to do those breathing excersises.
