Alert - James is on Radio 5 tomorrow (29th March). I think it's at 2pm. Seems to be Phil Williams filling in for Richard Bacon. James is listed as top guest, over Raymond Blanc.
"Phil Williams is in for Richard and is joined by James May to talk about his new series of Man Lab."
Looks like there's a podcast as well.

Reminder, Radio 5 at 2pm. One question James will answer is apparently
"Should local communities be able to set their own speed limits?"

And I would have love to have seen the shooting of the mobile phone with a 12 bore shotgun ;D

Thanks, Lew! Loved the interview, though there was a lot of sitting around while sections of the conference about Libya was broadcast. Still, it gave chance to watch James just being relaxed, twiddling his thumbs etc. He did look very tired, though, which is hardly surprising. I was going to give a detailed breakdown but remembered the 48-hour rule, so I'll hold onto it until those people who are able to have had chance to listen to the podcast. Suffice to say that two books later in the year sounds like two potential signings. And Jacqui's probably in a coma by now with all that talk about guns! And I know Jacqui has put some pics into the Pics of James thread, but here are more! Good job I had nothing in my diary for this afternoon!

Is there a way to actually download the interview? I'd love to listen to it.

Very good interview. I was interested in his explanation 'Mexicogate'. It all makes much more sense now. I had to smile when they were trying to go to the news and James didn't take the hint to begin with and kept talking. ;D On a side note, Wilbur Smith has the voice of a man who should be driving a Jaaaaaaaaag. ;D

Lovely interview, as always. Can I ask a potentially silly question...how do you get to actually watch the interview rather than just listening to it (assuming that's how you got the photos)? Is it a BBC thing?

Yep, they stream it live on the radio station's website. Only trouble is that they don't have it on all their stations nor for all programmes, nor do they advertise it, so you have to make a guess and go for it! I've seen James being interviewed on Radio 2 and now Radio 5, but, for example, Radio 2 at the moment only has a still photo of the presenter who's on, no live pics.
There seems to be no way of recording it, once it's gone it's gone (as the supermarkets say). I've also caught a James interview streamed live on the red button on Freeview TV, which was totally unexpected, but very pleasant!

What Dit said!!! They do stream a lot these days so if you have digital sky or freeview you can watch as well as listen ;D One day i'll try and record whjilst streaming and see if that works

James standing on a table in the pub singing "Hey Jude" with the band? I would pay money to see that!
Thanks. I was wondering about that and was going to ask.
