Great. More James I'm going to miss... As if the train race wasn't enough... They say patience is a virtue, so I'm going to try that approach... No, I'm afraid I'm not very virtuous.

Grizabella, Im sure someone on here is willing to recorder it on a DVD tonight... if there's no one that is capable of doing so, let me know and I'll record it with a *cough* videorecorder.

No wonder James hasn't had time to write any new Telegraph columns recently!

No wonder James hasn't had time to write any new Telegraph columns recently! Yeah no kidding, that's what....FOUR shows he's been busy with? Toy Stories, Man Lab, Top Gear, and now this one? Hope he gets a holiday soon. Looking forward to this as well though. More James on my TV (err...computer?) can only be good.

I'm as baffled as you all are. He has done a lot of interviews lately and hasn't mention it once. It does make me wonder how involved he was with the production.

Usually with his programmmes he's involved from the inception. Perhaps with this he's only doing the voice-over? If that was the case (only speculating!) then I can't imagine he would rate it as the high point of his oeuvre.
If it is a new, full series, then yes, he seems to have kept remarkably quiet about it. Perhaps it was made a while ago and only just made it to transmission? We'll be able to tell by his hair!
I like making guesses and I'm usually totally wrong!

It's an odd one for sure. He might only be narrating, but then his name's in the title. On the other hand, it's only three half-hours and in a peculiar timeslot.
I seem to remember his mentioning doing some motion capture filming, but I'm stuffed if I can remember the context. Oh well, not long to wait to find out.

We'll be able to tell by his hair! that made me laugh Dit - but oh so true ;D ;D Not sure if this is a bit different to above... forgot to look Do you ever stop to contemplate the wonder of your body? Well, neither had James May - until he realised that his body was by far the most impressive vehicle he was ever going to own.
James has decided to ask the Big Questions: How did I get my Granny's chin? Why do I catch colds? Why am I hung over? An what will we look like a thousand years from now? To find the answers he'll be plunging him into an exciting, entertaining and sometimes down right bizarre world of motion graphics.
The answers are packed with facts that will surprise, amaze and entertain you - and make you look at your body in a whole new light. Why am I hung over? - think we can answer this one for you James Looking forward to this, although it will take a lot to make me look at my body in a different light - absolute darkness is so much more flattering ;D

[/i][/quote] Maybe it's weird, no, it IS weird, but I kind of have to think of... something.... that contains things that will surprise, amaze and entertain me and yes, definitely make me look at my body in a whole new light afterwards... ;D Ermmm, taxi!! But no, seriously. This looks like it's going to be a very interesting programme, but again I have to say that I've been very interested in such things for MANY years and I know already quite a lot about our bodies... *doesn't like bragging, but it's just a fact.. *

According to a tweet I picked up today, it's still being edited, nearly finished. It doesn't seem to be a Plum Pictures production, which might explain why it hasn't been pushed so much.
Looking at that still from Lindenchase, a vague memory creeps into my mind that I've read somewhere that James was involved in something with stop-go animation. Did I imagine that, or is this perhaps it?

He should have been a teacher! Wouldn't lessons be fun? When you weren't gazing at him in a dream world, you might even learn something.

That trailer answers all the questions really, doesn't it? Yes, he seems to be mainly doing voiceover, and what we actually see of him (so far) won't have involved a great deal of filming time. It does look as if it was done very recently, which will explain why there's been so little publicity up till now. There is a great deal of animation, much of it witty and clever (I laughed immoderately at the sperm coming out of the gun) and typical of James (the business with the pig and the rat).
The actual content? To be honest, it reminded me a bit of one of the better BBC schools broadcasts, though I'm aware this is only a snippet. I've now heard James twice explaining sexual matters (this and the 'how to deliver twins' chapter from the A330 Airbus audiobook) and he appears to be becoming a bit of an expert!

I conclude that as the title states, there are indeed a lot of things I need to know from James. The animation had me laughing too. Very funny. ;D

This is surely worth checking out. Wish it was in Finnish so I could just play this video when my son asks me that question. James seems to be able to explain these things so much better than me.. Yes, he's definitely an expert. On this, as well as on so many other, subjects.
