Apparently James was interviewed on the Today programme on Radio 4 this morning. Anyone know the details?
Coming through from twitter - I love reading comments there, they often make me howl with laughter:
Official Today tweet - @bbcr4todaybbc Radio 4 Today "It does take a certain amount of courage to wear #brown and carry it off," says James May. Are you slipping on brown shoes this morning?
And in other comments - Hearing James May talking about acceptable summer fashion was just the amusing kick start I needed. Silly Captain Slow.
James May fashion tips on Radio4: "I feel distinctly uneasy with beige" - Silly Season preliminaries then.
Might have to throw my brown brogues away after hearing James May express liking for them on what was possibly BBC r4 Today's worst item ever
James May talking fashion on R4!? That's not news. That's not even whimsy.
Only on r4Today would they call James May cool without irony
PS Does James May have to be the BBCs commentator on everything?
Must go searching for this on the i-player!

Am I the only one who doesn't object to those shoes? I must admit, though, that I think they're better in the blue.

please don't encourage him 'those' shoes need to go ;D ;D I have to admit, I don't mind them so much in blue, but there's no getting away from the things. I have it on good authority that he recently bought several more pairs - and lo, the blue ones appeared, and I think I've spotted another shade of brown too - so I think they're here to stay

I had no idea that brown shoes were such a controversy in England. The only shoe rules I can think of here are no white after labor day and no flip-flops at the White House. My husband worked at the capital many moons ago and there were Representatives that wore cowboy boots with suits.

There's a Dr And The Medics song called "No one Loves You When You've Got Brown Shoes". Guess James hasn't heard it ;D If I must choose I'd take the brown ones, though, since I don't like blue..

I do rather like the blue ones, though I must admit I keep looking round for the boat that he should be wearing them on!

Anyone? I'm not sure, but would love to know as well. Maybe there's a streaming audio "recorder" of some sort that would work? (I don't know much about this sort of thing, obviously. :
