I'm disappointed the poll doesn't have a 12. An 11 wouldn't be enough - loved it!!!

I totally forgot about TG.... Yes, yes, you can kick me as often as you want.... ;D I think I banned it out of my head, since I prefer to watch it when it's being broadcast here on a Dutch channel. And I was watching another series.... yes yes yes, I know, NO good reasons.... *kicks herself*

*kicks nat* I watched this!!!! While it was aired!!! Yippeeeee Our cable company had suddenly decided to broadcast BBC so yay! I'm thrilled beyond words that we in our humble Dutch abode could watch TG at the very same moment as everybody in the UK. And a good episode it was, too.

You missed a treat Flat It was bl**dy fanatastic, i'm with Dit, we need an "off the scale" for episodes like this one. James being argumentative... made me * ahem* fizz, i love it when he gets fiesty!!! The news was very entertaining, you learn something everyday don't you (well I have led a very shelotered life!!! ) and James' joke at the end about waxing had me in tears of laughter And the Pièce de résistance, the Monaco grand prix segment; what an absolutely fantastic experience.... not a bad job if you can get it!!!! I bet James is quite pleased he got the sack from AutoCar ;D In fact that whole Hot Hatch film was stupendous, the scenery, filming and antics of the TG3 made it very very watchable. Well done team!!! I'll be watching it again on wednesday on beeb 2 and saturday on beeb3 and again in between because i record it!!! Brilliant!!! ;D

It was very funny - think it must've been the time of month for James. lol. I don't care what he thinks about that Aston, I want that orange one.
Ladies - think we now know never to get in a car with James as he will have us all up the duff in a few minutes, even Jezza was impressed.
It has to be one of the top 5 episodes.

And I was watching another series.... yes yes yes, I know, NO good reasons.... *kicks herself* Are you serious? What we get on Dutch television is the edited edition, it won't air until about a year from now, it's interrupted by at least two lengthy blocks of commercials and the subtitling is usually done by people with very limited knowledge of the English language. Why would you even consider watching that rubbish when we can watch it on the BBC?

I completely forgot this was on today. Long weekend, it's messing with my head! (holiday on Monday in the states) *downloads*
Based on the comments, looks like I've got something to look forward to tonight. Aside from more strawberry processing. ;D

I managed to see this about an hour after it was shown in the UK. Fantastic episode. I watched a lot of the Grand Prix on Speed. What a dangerous course. I have a question to do with Jeremy. Have you guys noticed he wears different colored bands on his right wrist? It's not always, just wondering.

I have a question to do with Jeremy. Have you guys noticed he wears different colored bands on his right wrist? It's not always, just wondering. Jeremy is a founder patron of the Armed Forces charity Help For Heroes, along with his wife Francie. They're both often pictured wearing H4H wristbands, which are red, light blue and dark blue to represent the three branches of the British forces in support of the charity.

Why would you even consider watching that rubbish when we can watch it on the BBC? Yes, I totally HATE that it's the edited edition, I only found out a couple of months back that they're not broadcasting the whole episode. I also HATE -and even more HATE than this HATE- that it's interrupted by such looooong commercials and I also agree and HATE the fact that the subtitles are rubbish: such a series deserves perfect subtitles and I always get distracted by them when listening to the English and reading the Dutch. If you had read more posts of me, you would have understood that my brother never watches it on Sundays, as he's doing something else when TG is being broadcast, and I defo want to watch it with him for the very first time. Yes, we could download BBC's edition, but, well, we love the rehearsels every week and prefer to watch TG on Fridays when the Dutch' in being broadcast, so we'll continue doing that. Yes, I know I'm.... weird ;D

Thanks for the link Meimichan! Managed to watch it today (with Rory the Racing Car roaring in the background ) and, like everyone else seems to have, loved it. Must watch it again soon, though, without so much background noice. Loved the part when James went "Why!?" when Jeremy said they'd hand the Aston Martin over to the Stig ;D Rest of the show was great, too, and the Monaco bit was the icing on the cake. Don't dare to give it 10, though, since I have every confidence that they'll be able to top this somehow

I liked it very much. Even if the rest of the episode had been a complete pile of pants, it would have been worth it just for the Monaco segment, during which I turned a particularly virulent shade of green with envy for a variety of reasons. But it wasn't pants. It was interesting to see a review that did something other than just scream a powerful car around the track (though I got a bit bored with James's studio rant afterwards) and didn't involve James invoking the ghost of LJK Setright when discussing ride vs handling (he's right though, because Setright knew what he was talking about). The first part of the hot hatches (and a Fiat 500) film actually demonstrated a lot more than the usual silliness - driving around Lucca was quite good for showing both the scale of the vehicles and how agile they are, and the scavenger hunt demonstrated quite effectively how capacious the cars are (you have to halve the total number of people Richard got in his Fiat though, because they were half outside...). The second part demonstrated how well the cars drive when they're pushed hard, and together these show the whole point of hot hatches: they should be small, nippy and practical when you need them to be and great fun when you want them to be - cars that can work and play The News. Dear god, I haven't laughed like that in ages. I was quite literally doubled over on the sofa when James came out with the line about waxing the Growler ;D I'm sure some miserable bleeding heart will say that it was all demeaning or sexist or something, but as a woman who can think of far better ways of spending an afternoon than waxing a growler, I thought it was absolutely hysterical And Ross Noble did a great job. He was a great SIARPC and put in a cracking lap. And today he's been posting pics of his tank on Twitter because people keep asking to see it! So in conclusion, it wasn't pants, but by the end of the episode I needed a new pair.

I adored this episode!! ;D ;D James was fabulous! Ross was brilliant! The hot hatches were just that... HOT! Jeremy's facial expressions about James' rant were great. I watched this with MOH. He either wasn't paying attention or didn't hear Richard's explanation for a 'growler' and was totally lost throughout the rest of the news. When James got to the waxing joke, I nearly choked and died. But MOH kept asking me, "What? What?" I couldn't stop laughing long enough to tell him what Richard had said, and his questions and dumbfounded expression just made my laughing worse. Needless to say, he's not exactly pleased with me. Having to explain a joke does nothing for it. The Virage is very pretty, but I still like the DB9 the best. Plus every time I saw the name, Virage or heard them say it, I kept thinking 'virile'. I'm not sure I could own a car thinking about that every time I saw it. As if I'm going to own an Aston anytime soon! ;D A hit outta' the park!! ;D ;D

I enjoyed seeing Jeremy's obvious passion driving around the Monaco circuit - seeing real unscripted feeling is great - like James when he drove the Bugatti. The hot hatch part was good fun and I love Italy: seeing Lucca again was a real pleasure. But the news left me a bit cold - nothing to do with the Growler bit - I like a bit of Viz humour, but I found it far too contrived. They used to be able to do the news and somehow leave you feeling it was unscripted - but they've lost that ability of late in my 'umble opinion.
Virage? Corny name - obvious mix of virile and mirage if you ask me. Beautiful car though.

It wasn't "bl**dy awful" but it seemed a lot more contrived than normal. James's rant made me cringe (sorry). Maybe my expectations were too high.
