This was on BBC tonight, and I had a feeling that Top Gear and the lads would appear on there somewhere, and they did.
Essentially, for anyone who's not seen the programmes, a general topic is decided on and then various 'personalities' (mainly comedians, or at least well-known wits) are invited to comment on different aspects of the topic, with a very dry and cynical voice-over. It's all in good humour, though it can get very critical; for example some of the aspects tonight were traffic wardens, road hogs and Top Gear.
Bearing in mind the title of the show, it will come as no surprise that all the 'personalities' hate TG, mainly on the grounds that they can't understand why anyone should be interested that much in cars. One said that she didn't care about any of the presenters, then it got a bit personal. James was described as looking like an old hippy, whose girlfriend had obviously looked at him, said, "Let's get you some nice clothes" and taken him to British Home Stores, which I think is rather unfair! (To our overseas readers, BHS = boring, bland, polyester, middle-aged etc).
What did genuinely amuse me was firstly a long nudge-nudge, wink-wink sequence that ended up with, "We know what those three are really comparing, don't we?" and the description of Top Gear being "fronted by three menopausal men who should know better."

Some of them liked the fact that they'd destroyed a few caravans though

I would assume that James would tell them to "sod off"
If he hasn't I would gladly do it for him. lol
