Following up a tweet, I've just e-mailed Absolute Radio to enquire whether James would be on Christian O'Connell's breakfast show in the near future (as he seems to be a bit of a regular there).
I got a reply within two minutes - James is on tomorrow morning (Wednesday 21st September), probably between 7.30 and 8.30 am. The producer was curious as to why I was asking about the timing, so I admitted I was a regular on the JMB and wanted to alert the other members, and hoped he didn't think I was weird! He kindly sent back
Not at all – He’s a thoroughly nice bloke and I can see why you would be a fan
which I thought was lovely (I hope he wouldn't mind me quoting him).
If I'm connecting things correctly, this is pre-recorded - James was there this morning and the producer mentioned they would probably 'play it out' at that time. I have no idea whether there will be any webcam footage, though. I'll be setting my alarm, just in case there isn't a podcast - and those who know me well will realise what a struggle that'll be for me!

I've been listening from 7.25 and there's been nothing on in that time, Pie. No mention of him either, though the producer was very clear yesterday that he would be on. Hmmm.

1215 AM or 105.8 London or you can do as I do and listen on the Internet at their website.
Just after midnight here and have been listen for the last hour or so. Nothing. Looked at their schedule and didn't see it mentioned.

I'll be cross if he isn't on after I've alerted people on here. The producer, Greg Burke was quite clear when I e-mailed him yesterday
"He will be on the show tomorrow."
and
"I would advise your friends to listen between 0730 & 0830 tomorrow – I would imagine we’ll play it out then."
Hmm, "I would imagine"....

I'm listening online right now but haven't heard anything yet. Hope he comes on soon if it's an hour interview, as it's 3:50am here! Good thing I'm a nighthawk Thanks Dit, by the way, for alerting us to the interview -- it's exciting for me to think that I could hear it "live" just like everyone in the UK. |

Well, I'm keeping my fingers crossed now that I'm not going to feel a right berk by 10am UK. Maybe I've frightened the producer by making the enquiry! He seemed very pleasant though.

How do cats always know the exact wrong time to get into stuff? Mine is doing some sort of weird cross-species thing by giving me puppy-dog eyes because I'm not paying enough attention to her... Ah well, she can just sit and tap her tail until the interview's over.

Ah well, she can just sit and tap her tail until the interview's over. I was distracted anyways(got some painting supplies to clean up), but they have a gift for it, I swear. My cat rather enjoys watercolor paint flavored water. She's an imbecile...possibly from drinking paint water all those times I didn't catch her. What's really dumb is my sleep schedule is so messed up...it's 3:40am here, and by all normal conventions, I should really be asleep. Oops. Hope I get to hear the entire interview eventually, I did only catch the last few minutes of it. |

Definitely an enjoyable interview! What a treat to be able to hear it ;D You've certainly earned your loo break now, Dit. Thanks again for the heads-up about the interview -- what amazing timing you had in contacting the program director! meimichan -- maybe your cat is trying to be a painting assitant with the watercolour-flavoured paint? Without opposable thumbs she can't hold a paintbrush, so she's trying to use her tongue instead, ha ha. Okay, 5am here now, time for me to head to bed. Poo! I missed the damn thing,doc was late and I had to turn my Sony off.Thought I'd be able to listen to the end but then the vampire nurse came in. Damn and damn again.
If he's sufffering from insomnia he can come and not sleep with me.(That came out wrong.....but you know what I mean)
