Lovely pics, muggs! It took me a while to warm to Oz, but I like him now. He and James complement each other really well. Oz looks so much like my grandfather in this one. ;D

Wonderful pictures! I shall post what I have at the moment. This is floating around the board somewhere. I love their expressions, especially James's. And his shirt, oddly enough. He looks like a poet in it and for the life of me, I wish I knew why I think that... This may have to get moved to the NC and I would also like to confess that the tiny James May in a devil costume sitting on my right shoulder made me post it. Blame him. ;D

I like the cheeky laugh on this one: James looking like he's ready to kill a grumpy looking Oz: Hubba hubba: I like the surfing look: And my favourite. Oz Clark in a dressing gown, ha ha (and I have to mention James with that "just come out of the shower/wet hair" look - oh err, crisis moment)

I liked Oz and his pink clothes which James was not a fan of.

Question... and you may know the answer.
Why did James bugger off from Oz Clarke and be substituted with Hugh Dennis?
I love Hugh like, but preferred it with James (for bias reasons) and think James is more of a plonky than Hugh.
Hugh's a bit too fit and health conscious to make it funny.

Could it have something to do with James being in the 'London Pride' ads? The BBC probably saw it as a 'Conflict Of Interest' if James did another drinks show ...Sort of like not wanting Jeremy to use his voice on a SatNav because he does a car show.

I think it was a contractual thing. The Wine Adventure format belonged to (I think) RDF Media and after James' last outing with Oz, he signed a three year exclusive deal with Plum Pictures to make all his own projects outside TG. If that deal was exclusive, it would bar him from working for RDF, and RDF obviously decided to milk their format for one more series, without James. I don't think he signed with London Pride until sometime later.
This is only my supposition, I've no evidence that the above is true, but that tends to be how things work.
