I have 'made an appointment for an officer to call'. The truck has been parked since new years eve - so it coud have been cut off over a fortnight ago! This is looking like an insurance claim! |

So they were after your catalytic converter? That's pretty bad that it happened in your own driveway. There are a few sites on the web that suggest everything from hardened steel rods to special cables to protect your converter. It might slow them down at least. Sorry 'bout the theft and now the heavy cost to you.

there are some right cocks about. I wouldnt be surprised if its gone for scrap. They stole 1.5million pounds worth pf railings from the seafront in hendon and sold for scrap. unbeleiveable

I have zero tolerance for people like that. They're so selfish! I had my car window smashed a few times where I used to live - once they got away with a cassette tape, another time they took a box of dishwasher tablets and the third time they took the jack, which was then found dumped a few streets away. Meanwhile, it cost me a fortune in getting the glass replaced. Grrrrr.
But to have that happen while it's parked on your driveway is even worse!
