Has Jezza given you your shares in TG products yet? by my calculations you should own at least 45% in shares.

Well it seems Andy Willman read my mind ( i would say post but as the commentary was recorded ages ago....) in the first few minutes he mentions that people may buy this DVD purely for the commentary... No may about it .... I did Andy ;D The commentary is James, Andy and Gregg one of the producers. Its very informative in places, explains why and how they did things as they did. James is very vocal - in between mouthfuls of noodles and rice Its a great insight in to the thoughts and feelings of the TG3 and crew whilst they are filming these adventures. It would seem James was very cross at not being able to modify the Royce properly and was noticeably quiet the next day, which according to Andy translates to James being in a bad mood. Later that day they did have a bit of a row; Gregg made me laugh by saying it was like watching your parents argue!! Andy went on to say that usually the transcription of the in car chat equates to 30 + pages for James, that day it was only 7!!! Well now we know, James goes quiet when he is cross/angry, a trait common in most us no doubt - i know i do!! On a lighter note - one victim of the editing suite was the water fight with James and Jezza, this apparently went on for a while, would love to have seen that! Listening between the lines Andy knows it wasn't their best effort but you have to appreciate the work and planning that goes in to these programs and the end result is very entertaining. There are a few deleted scenes, two about their night in tents. The morning after one with James and Jeremy ranting about how cold it was -299 apparently is hilarious - two old men wittering over a garden fence comes to mind! James likens his tapered sleeping bag to having a bondage act performed on him - say no more (Not on this thread anyway! ;D ) Get it, of only for the commentary and the deleted scenes. Oh and to keep the TG3 and Co. in the lifestyles they have become accustomed to ;D

Some of the extras have surfaced on Tumblr - I've ordered it on the strength of a couple of animated gifs that were so adorable I had to own the source material!

Thanks for the description, jacqui - I think I'll have to get this one, as you say, for the commentary.

I'd like to, but lord only knows when it will be available in the US. I don't think their last 2 Great Adventures DVD's are available yet for our region. I can't believe the BBC, or Jezza, or the TG3's agents, or whoever controls this process doesn't realize that they're missing out on a potentially big market here.

I should be on commission ;D Just to add.... have watched Supercars Across Italy this morning and those extras are very good too. Particularly the 3 of them trying to work out their petrol consumption calculations - James playing the teacher - brilliant! Also Imola tatics - it ends with James saying is going off to practice Tosa ( which is a corner nothing else ) ;D

I've now watched the India commentary, which is most enjoyable (anyone who hasn't added it to their collection yet). I was particularly amused by the fact that James's watch collection has clearly got so large that he couldn't recognise the one he was wearing in the film.

James is very vocal - in between mouthfuls of noodles and rice Why is it everything on here makes my mind think of filth? one victim of the editing suite was the water fight with James and Jezza, this apparently went on for a while
