Two thoughts spring to mind: the first one is 'I could have been there!' as Bletchley is only an hour away. But to leg it now would take some explaining to Mr Crumbs.
Secondly, I agree Dit - he would be very interested. We went there a few months ago: MC was in his element - he loves history, WW2, computers and heroes. Turing was definitely one of those and so sadly overlooked for so long. I enjoyed it too as I am also interested in history (twas my BA): you get a real sense of the time and place at Bletchley Park.
PS quick mod - did history of art with history, twas a joint degree.

He does look interested. I really like James's involvement with this. It is a fascinating place and deserves all the support it can get.

I'm in Look East's "East" news region so I'll look out for James tonight and let you know. I won't be able to see Look East's "West" news reports but both programmes will be on iplayer. Phew.

Documentally has posted some audio. Really enjoyed that, thank you - James is a good chap isn't he? I'm so incredibly dense when it comes to anything computer related. I couldn't figure out how to play this. There was no "play" button that I could see just a time line. Any suggestions?

The big blue button with an arrow on it is the 'Play Button', aeromanda. Just click on it.

Just see him on the news - short but very sweet ;D He has such enthusiasm for things of such historic importance, he really should be a teacher ;D The audio is fab sounds like he had a grand day out and i have no doubt a Dyson (or some other brand) is being ordered as I type if not already on its way to Bletchley park (and a tea pot!) Thanks for posting SF ;D

Aw maaaan how many times have I been to Bletchley Park? And like Jacqui, I'm not too far from there. Is it too awful for me to say that my mum has a shirt very similar to the one worn today by James ;D

Well done, James, for giving a name check to Bill Tutte at the beginning of that interview. He and Tommy Flowers tend to get overshadowed by Turing's reputation, but they deserve their own exhibition for their massive contribution to the war effort and to computing in general.
(If you don't know who they are, look 'em up - fascinating)
Turing, Tutte and Flowers would be so proud ;D

He is just so humble. He definitely should have been a teacher. His interest in so many things is a joy to see.
