As some of you may know, I'll again be doing my bit for Sport Relief (six miles this time - going to be pretty challenging given my mobility problems these days, but why not? May as well do it while I can). Anyway, today I got a pretty interesting email - a four hour comedy and entertainment show starts at 9.15am on the day of the run 25th March), and this is what it had to say about it: Sport Relief Goes Global will be a four-hour extravaganza of comedy and entertainment, coming directly from The Mall in London, including sketches from the stars of Outnumbered, Absolutely Fabulous, Gavin and Stacey, Doctor Who, Strictly Come Dancing and Top Gear, to be broadcast to over 200 countries across BBC Worldwide's Entertainment channels.Sound promising, and everyone should be able to see it (PS: If anyone fancies supporting a fat old cripple attempting to hobble six miles - that's almost a quarter of a marathon! - my sponsor page is m-my.sportrelief.com/sponsor/wyvernchick )

Just wondering, you say you're doing your bit for Sport Relief "again" how many times have you done it? Did you run fewer miles last time? Talk about 20 questions lol

Last time I did three miles, and because there was no Sport Relief last year, I did a 10k for cancer research, which was more challenging than expected. But I want to do as much as I can while I can, so this year I'll be the one in the Captain Slow t-shirt... because I will be XD The boys getting involved again is just the kind of encouragement I can use

Thank you so much to my new sponsors! You are stars <3
In news about the actual show, apparently Richard has been filming for Sport Relief this year, but it's not clear whether that's for the Friday telethon or the Sunday morning show - but anyway, this should confirm TG involvement in some capacity ;D

Saw this one on twitter by HammondHeaven. Is it me or is Richard looking damn cute these days?

Is it me or is Richard looking damn cute these days? When I was at TG a couple of weeks ago, I might have actually done a little gasp-squeak thing when he came out, which would have been a bit embarrassing if anyone had actually heard me (especially as I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Jezzabelle...). I'm far too old and sensible for that kind of thing, so he must be looking good these days ;D

So.. than it is not just me I am relieved I must say. Although Richard looks 99% like my first love. Even the height, which is disturbing as I am 6 ft. (I know, start laughing now) so it is not that strange I still have a weak spot for him.

I checked TV guide online and they don't show Sport Relief on Sunday. Hopefully it will just preempt whatever is on.

Well, I've no idea what happened to the bits Richard filmed - he did pop upon something Amanda Byram did for Sport Relief. But I can tell you what I did - I managed my 6 miles without too much pain, I'm still upright and thanks in part to the wonderful people here I've raised almost £200. I managed it in 1.45, which won't break any records but isn't bad for a fat old cripple Thank you SO much for getting behind me. It really did make a difference

Very well done! Every little bit helps. I liken your Sport Relief to our Labor Day Telethon with Jerry Lewis.

Funnily enough, Liverbird, I found myself recovering with a pint of Spring Sprinter and a fishfinger sandwich in a pub in Westminster after I finished, so I approve entirely ;D

Blimey! One minute forty-five's blooming brilliant for six miles! ;D
Richard ran the mile, didn't he? I had a look in on BBC1 this afternoon and he was chatting to whatsisname and whatsername along with David Tennant and was about to do his run, along with his family I think.
Didn't really hear what he said - David Tennant's shorts were quite brief...

The whole Hammond family took part in the Mile - here's a lovely photo that appeared in the Daily Fail (well, there would be, but it's being weird. Will fix it when I get home - it hasn't been deleted and it's definitely in my folder. Will try to pull it straight from the Fail in the meantime...)
