I thought I'd start this for all those little bits and pieces we manage to pick up that are unexpected delights or out of the ordinary.
To start things off, I rarely go on ebay much nowadays but in a bored moment earlier this week I popped 'James May' into the search. Amongst all the usual stuff (mugs, keys rings) with the usual pictures (navy, grey and pale blue striped jumper anyone?) there were a couple of posters I'd never seen, and some DVDs. I don't have the earlier ones; it's a case of priorities and sometimes full price can seem a bit expensive for things it would be nice to have but are often on Dave anyway.
However, I found the following:
The Challenges Vol 1 - 99p The Challenges Vol 2 - 99p Winter Olympics - £2.89
So for 362 minutes of TG pleasure (that's just over 6 hours, wowee!) I've paid just £4.87. Even with the post and packing (total £3.70) I've only spent £8.57, well under ten quid. The first two have already arrived and are fine.
I feel seriously chuffed, and I think I might visit ebay a bit more often!

Rock on, Dit! You can find all sorts of things on Ebay. Be sure to pay attention to the buyer's feedback and make sure that it is positive. Awesome find! ;D

Not really an "excellent" purchase but it made my son happy. Oh the crap I randomly buy. It's a Top Gear Car Darts Building Set made by K'nex. Saw it in Toy R' Us whilst shopping for something else. I was actually very surprised to see it. I've never seen any other TG stuff on the shelves here.

If anyone has a book store called TheWorks anywhere near, they are selling some earlier James stuff off quite cheap. Boxed set of 'Big Ideas' DVDs £4.99, 'Man Lab Book of Usefulness' £4.99, Paperback book called 'The Top Gear Story' £2.99 (I've just paid £6.99 for it; it's been describes as "a proficient hack job" and seems to be an easy read), 'Oz and James's Big Wine Adventure' £2.99.

I just got "The World According to Clarkson. Is It Really Too Much To Ask?" in Hardback. It was on Amazon in Like New condition for 96 cents plus $3.99(U.S.) shipping, I ended up getting it for free because I had watched a video and answered a questionnaire on Amazon and had been rewarded for my efforts with a gift card.Which I then used to buy his book.

I picked up the RC car football and water-powered jet car sets at Sainsbury's in the January sales a couple of years ago. I think I paid less than £10 for the two, and they sat on my shelf for goodness knows how long. Then, when we made Wot Gear last year, they came out to be used in the opening title sequence

I have recently purchased two sets of ebay Cool Wall fridge magnets for my classroom! I had one set, but they had dwindled to half a set, so a refresh was called for!
