Me neither - makes it all the more entertaining though! He mentions today how 25 of his 32 chickens have been had by Channel 4's foxy woxies Dare say he'll get revenge somehow!

I hope it isn't like the last time he had a fox in the yard. Waiting until most of the night and a bottle of Merlot had passed, then taking a shot at 'something' from his bedroom window. Ended up shooting Francie's chair!

I've only just noticed - Jeremy's on Countryfile tonight (20th) at 6.30.
Repeats Thu 24 May 12:55am BBC1 and Mon 28 May 12am BBC HD.
Update: it was an entertaining few minutes, with Jeremy admitting he knows nothing about farming but pays someone who does. He showed his sensitive side with his birdwatching skills. It'll be on BBC iPlayer soon.

I've just deleted my initial response for fear of being kicked off the board...
Jezza's latest tweets (so to speak):
"Well I've now achieved the impossible. I'm the first person ever to spark fury on Countryfile."
"The police are investigating me for "reckless bird disturbance". When they find the man who nicked my telly, we'll talk."
And
"You'll never take me alive, coppers"
You tell 'em where to stick it. ;D

The Devon and Cornwall police's wildlife crime officer decides to create part of this controversy by opening up a discussion on Twitter?? Since when was Twitter the avenue of choice for police investigations?? A little professionalism would help. It is unclear whether the birds were nesting at the time of the filming, and therefore whether any licences were required. One would assume that barn owls nest at certain times of the year. Why not ask a bird biologist or whatever expert they have if they could have been nesting. Might want to start there. Presumption seems to be leading this idiotic protest!

Bit embarrassing for Chris Packham!
I don't think Jezza himself can possibly be in the frame for this one. It has to be the producers of the show. However, I think it'll die a death. Even the mighty Springwatch has, in the past, filmed people climbing up ladders to look into a barn owl nest box.

People with too much time on their hands and nothing to complain about. The owls flew out before they even got to the front of the structure.

Even the mighty Springwatch has, in the past, filmed people climbing up ladders to look into a barn owl nest box. This is true. But, it would appear that you need a spacial licence to 'disturb' nesting barn owls, so to speak. The fury is over whether Chris and Jeremy (and possibly the film crew?) have licences. Yuh. Must have special licence to walk onto part of one's own land. It's not as if they climbed up a ladder to play peekaboo with the owls.

it was a fantastic piece of TV. There is no way that they set out to disturb those owls, and they were conducting themselves entirely appropriately!
Some people need to get a grip on reality! (Especially that silly vicar that was on BBC Breakfast news yesterday! - Idiot!)

Just occasionally the Fail can surprise. This was part of Richard Littlejohn's column earlier this week.
Jeremy Clarkson is being investigated for disturbing barn owls following his recent appearance on Countryfile. The complaint came from an off-duty copper who happened to be watching the programme and immediately erupted on Twitter. Now Thames Valley plod have launched an official inquiry. Every time Clarkson opens his mouth these days, someone tries to get him sacked, arrested or both. I can only assume these pious idiots think some of his celebrity will rub off on them. Pathetic.
