I've just found a website for something called The Great Exhibition 2012. It has a section called Greats of Great Britain where I found this page for James. He had one vote, so I signed up and voted, and that placed him at 237th. I don't know much more about it yet or who else is on the list so I'm going to have a bit of a read. You don't have to, slfriend79 - you can either do it through facebook or by giving your e-mail address and creating a password.
I like the fact that you're given an alternative. I'm not on facebook either, despite many people telling me I'm being over-cautious.

I only know what they give out on their home page. I'm assuming they're a legitimate organisation, though I get the impression they're not quite sure yet themselves quite where it's going.
As for the positioning, I was confused at first but now I'm guessing that someone's position is dependent not just on how many votes they've had, but also how many votes other people on the list have had. So James' position will change according to the votes cast for those ahead of him. Did that make any sense?

I'm following them on twitter and I get lots of tweets for different people. I did vote for BBC Top Gear as well as James and Jezza. I tried to vote again but they must log the ip address or User name.
