I saw that earlier on twitter. It doesn't give a release date. Sounds like a fantastic read.

Amazon has the same availability date. Nearly three months to wait. I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

Would it be just a collection of his TG magazine articles though? Not that that'd be a bad thing, but it would be great if it was all totally new.

How many authors just get referred to by their surname on the cover of their own books?
Must say, though, issuing it with "The New Bestseller" already printed is a teensy weensy bit presumptuous, though probably a good bet

I shall be adding this to my Christmas list or maybe I'll buy it for TOH's birthday as that is before Christmas. I wonder if Jezza would do a signing for this? And if so, if he would do one other than in Chipping Norton? I love that he supports his local bookshop, but it's a pain to get to CN without a car.

And if so, if he would do one other than in Chipping Norton? I love that he supports his local bookshop, but it's a pain to get to CN without a car. CN is surprisingly easy to get to, or at least, no harder than anywhere else. Train to Oxford, bus from directly outside the station to the centre of CN, where Jaffe & Neale is located. The buses are large, modern double deckers with buggy and wheelchair space and not, as I was expecting, rural rattlers. Admittedly a young child does make it more complicated (time to put Darren on babysitting duty, perhaps?) but I wouldn't be surprised if Jeremy doesn't sign at all any more - as far as I'm aware - and I follow J&N on Twitter to keep an eye out for local CN events - he hasn't done a signing at all since the one I went to in 2009.

The buses are large, modern double deckers with buggy and wheelchair space and not, as I was expecting, rural rattlers. I was expecting rattlers, as you say. Some of the buses out of Wycombe are a PITA. I had one guy refuse to let me on, or even to help me dismantle the pram to allow me to get on - it was one of the ones with a vertical bar in the doorway - it would be! Thing is, it was a route passing Stoke Mandeville Hospital, you know, only one of the leading centres for spinal injuries in the country You'd think they'd make the buses going past there more accessible! My local bus route is a good one though. It's the same driver every day, and a lovely chap he is too, just going back and forth between Wycombe and Aylesbury, stops 2 minutes walk from the house and a fully accessible bus for people with wheeled items ;D sad thing is, it only runs Monday to Friday and only comes along every 2 hours. Still, at least I have a service I can actually use. *ahem* Back on topic! Has it really been all that time since Jezza last did a signing? Maybe he'd do one for this, I was thinking, because it's a TG related book, not just one compiled from his columns (that's how I'm looking at it, anyway, to judge from the given description).

He better do a waterstones book signing!! I can't remember him ever doing a book signing anywhere except Jaffe & Neale. I don't think he really likes doing that kind of thing, but he makes an exception for his local community sometimes

I picked this up today in Tesco - they do extremely good book prices.
It is unashamedly columns from Top Gear magazine from 1993 to 2011, Jeremy stating so in the introduction, pointing out that it's not an autobiography but is what he felt about his life at the time (even if he doesn't agree with himself now).
I'm taking it off to bed with me tonight.
