After a few months' break, I am back! I was quite interested in the Dodge Dart initially, after reading it is based on the Alfa Romeo Gulietta platform. I've been hearing good things about it and in some ways, I wasn't disappointed.
My friend and I went out to check it out and the design externally looked very lackluster. Dodge cars all look the same. This is way nicer looking than the old Neon, which I've heard they were axing.
Started it up-very pronounced exhaust rattling sound. It's a standard car but I've heard they will offer it in an automatic transmission as well.
The interior was actually nice. It's black with some white inside and the center stack looked nicely furnished. Decent head room and nice trunk space.
The silly party piece-I thought it was silly anyway-, the Dart's passenger side front seat, the seat part can be pulled up so you can store little things underneath it.
It's a nice little car and the gas mileage has been very good on it. If I was a Dodge fan, I might consider one of these. (I still want a RAV4 and an MX5!)

I had one in the 70's. Do they still make them? Is this only in England? Just wondering. Brought back memories.

My first car (university graduation present) was a 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger. It was red with a white top and had a slant 6 engine that went like crazy. I nearly drove the wheels off of it, and then I sold it to my pastor's son. He drove it until it had 175,000 miles!

I think the Dart is only America. It topped the top 10 worst cars of 2012 list now. The gas mileage is great but it has (I think I'm remembering this right) a double clutch tranny which makes the gear changes really uneven and they grind. Started up a Dart and the exhaust RATTLES like you wouldn't believe. I'm to publish an article on the Dart and the new Ford Fusion (Mondeo to Brits). I LOVED the Fusion/Mondeo to bits! I'll probably go off on Dodge a bit on the new entry. They have great names and ideas but they do everything so half-arsed! It really frustrates me sometimes. I really wish Dodge was bankrupt now with their crappy cars.... horrible, especially the pee-on (neon) but they stopped making those.
